We stopped here for an overnight stay on our way to Italy via the Gotthard Pass. The room was clean but I felt like I had returned to the 1970s. Stunning views and interesting town history but this was the most basic and most expensive hotel we stayed in this summer. The restaurant menu also looked basic and expensive so...

Exit the station and turn right (north) crosing the river. Turn sharp left, this is Gotthard Strasse. Past the Hotel Gotthard and your hotel is on the right. All the staff spoke Englis, were very helpful and pleasent. My room (22) had every thing I wanted, was quiet and I slept well. Breakfast was from 07:30 which was tight as...

Stayed here for one night. The room was basic but clean. The hotel has added a lift which goes up the outside. Clever addition and much better than carrying suitcases up two or more floors! Breakfast was in a pleasant breakfast room with friendly staff in attendance.

Good Place to stay for a night in Goeschenen, Gotthard. Rooms are a little basic, however nice and clean and good mattresses and all major Tv channels. Beautiful Mountain view from the room. Other Hotels in town were closed (after the winter season) and only the Rossli was open and could accommodated our on night stay. Can't comment on food...

You pay twice as much as you would in every other country - but this is Switzerland, so expected everything twice as expensive. Considering that the Zum Weissen Rossli is great choice when staying the night right next to the Gotthard. So if you want to ride the pass, or need to use the tunnel - this is a nice...

The main purpose of our trip was to observe the dramatic mainline railway up to and through the existing Gotthard Railway Tunnel before it is bypassed in 2016 by the new 57 km Gotthard base tunnel. Goeschenen, with it's excellent transport links, was the perfect place for this, and the Hotel Zum Weissen Rossli was certainly the place to stay....

I stayed here for 14 days in July 2015. Though most guests stay only one or two nights, I needed a base for two weeks. The hotel could not have been better for my needs. The food was excellent, though staying on half board it was a set meal at night, but very good. The single room was very comfortable...

A friend and I wanted somewhere central for rail travel around Switzerland. The hotel proved an excellent choice. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food was tasty and always hot and the daily rate was competitive. The rooms were spotless but a little hot. Goschenen is a lovely quiet village to relax and has good transport links.

Group of us stayed here. Food was very good, staff were brilliant even let us put our motorcycles in their garage. Rooms clean but a bit tired - and too hot, they really need air con. We'd stay again without doubt.
