The hotel was lovely and in an amazing location with close proximity to Siena. However, the wifi was terrible, I couldn't even send a snapchat chat, this caused me great anxiety as I had to many of those timers. I would rate this 5 star if the Wifi worked!!!! But if your a person that docent rely on fast internet...

We did not get the information that our arrival date there will be a market and wasnt permitted to enter by car into the castle. We were lucky we could. Hotel owner is very nice man, but his wife isnt. During our visit and during the breakfast she was very angry and showed that she did not want to serve...

Fantastic location - truly unique in the very small medieval walled town of Monteriggioni. Lovely room, fantastic setting and warm, welcoming and very friendly staff - family run hotel and it shows. Can't fault it and will return.

Years ago we had passed by Monteriggioni and stopped to have a look. It was magical, so on this trip we decided to spend 2 nights and a full day in this special town/fort. It was wonderful and beautiful and relaxing, and very special. The Hotel Monteriggioni is beautiful and very, very comfortable. The garden out back between the hotel...

We arrived on the last leg of our walking tour and this Hotel was by far the best in our series of overnight stays. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The garden was well planned and nurtured, however we loved the pool the most Our breakfast was of a high quality and we appreciated the attention detail.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location and car parking in the walled village is a bonus. Room was good and pool is a very relaxing place. Breakfast is simple and having it outside is lively. The hotel is adjacent to the square with three restaurants ... Expensive, reasonable and more reasonable ! Loved it !

Only stopped in to see what it was like on a whistle stop wine tasting tour but it looked fantastic. I think I could have stayed a week just here in this little castle on top of a hill with a coupe of shops and bars outside and great views.

Set in a medieval walled town, Hotel Monteriggioni commands a central site with easy access to everything in the town, private parking, a (small) pool and (not extensive but) comfortable gardens. The rooms are well thought out and designed well into such an historic setting. The welcome and hospitality from the owners was first class.

Monteriggioni is a beautiful town and the hotel location is stunning set within the castle walls. The hotel is very comfortable and I love the design in the reception areas looks to be modern classic. Breakfast is a hearty continental fare and really special when the weather is good enough to eat in the garden. Friendly staff who speak some...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The building, which is in the heart of this charming medieval fortress, dates back to the 17th century and is now home to the superior 4 star Hotel Monteriggioni. The original architectural style has been preserved during the restoration, creating, together with the tasteful furnishings, a luxurious setting where guests can enjoy a private yet elegant atmosphere. Twelve luxury bedrooms – each with its own particular character – and “La Maison”, a most charming apartment, look out over the boundary walls made famous by Dante in his Divine Comedy. The centuries-old olive trees and the stone swimming pool in the garden offer our guests quiet areas for reading, enjoying a long breakfast or simply relaxing. The owners, Michela Gozzi and Luigi Cagnazzo, are always ready to answer any questions about the major Tuscan art cities and the ancient villages of the area. They can give useful advice about local events, city or airport transfers, guided tours and local excursions. ... more   less
