Stayed here for one night and found it a beautiful location. Hotel is small, quaint, quiet. The room is small but very adequate and clean. Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom. Nice deck over looking the canal. The included breakfast is very filling and in a very unique setting.

Staying for one night with 3 couples in 3 rooms, looking over the gracht(canal) around the historic city of Franeker, we enjoyed the very special rooms with their individual style. The hotel is a combination of several old small buildings along the canal and the old herberg building. The dinner we had was great. The dining room was full with...

We arrived very late and the manager was extremely lovely, she even offered us dinner although the kitchen was closed. The room is very simple but had everything one need in order to sleep perfectly. Breakfast was full (milk, coffee, tea, bread, granola, etc...).

We only had lunch here. We were seated overlooking the water and with the town as backdrop it was a great view. The food was well presented and tasteful. Our host was friendly and helpful and he was making an effort to accommodate to our specific wishes and needs.

I spent two nights in this hotel plus enjoyed their desserts a couple of times. Walking into this place gives you a nice warm feeling, soft lights, candles a few couches and an amazing terrace on the canal. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. The room I stayed in was quite basic and simple. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and...

A very Dutch welcome at this b&b, the canal running by with pretty terraces overlooking. Room a bit motel like but clean and adequate, lovely breakfast in airy conservatory , nice place with character.

Long ago we had visited Franeker, but memories of that visit had faded. So when looking for a place to stay this weekend we checked references through Tripadvisor. That proved to be the right approach. This charming small hotel is situated just outside the center and has a terrace overlooking two small canals. Very practical is the private parking right...

Though the rooms are nothing really special (but clean), the food is excellent! Both dinner and breakfast. Service is friendly. A good place to stay when visiting lovely Friesland (the planetarium is fanstastic!!!)

If you are staying in Franeker for any reason, make sure you eat here - the food is absolutely delicious! The service is also excellent. Breakfast was also good with an above average selection of foods available. The bedrooms however leave a little bit to be desired - they date back to probably the 1950's with paper-thin walls which bend...
