Staff helpful and polite. Good breakfast with different times because of covid. When you join at a later time we experienced we had to wait 10 min. for croissants. The room was o.k. and clean. Easy to make biketrips from the hotel.

We stayed for a day in zwolle while travelling with our bicycles. No problem to store the bike safely. There is also a secure parking at the back of the hotel. The hotel is only a 5 min walk from the centre of zwolle. I would give it 4 stars if it would have aircon.

For non-Dutch speakers, don't use the English language part of the website, use the Dutch part with Google translate. This gives much more information and additional offers. We booked a double room, as part of a 3 night all inclusive festive break, only to find we had been given a twin bedded room, with the beds pushed together. Given that we had specifically chosen the double room, this was not a good start. The receptionists were pleasant and helpful and got us a double room with a 120 cm bed, as opposed to the 140 cm bed we had booked. Best we could expect given how full the hotel was, but somewhat disappointing that we did not get what we booked. This is where the bad news ends and is the reason why the rating is not excellent. Customer service was excellent. All staff were engaged, customer focused and friendly. Even when we had a communication problem around tap water vs. bottled water, it was resolved quickly and in a positive manner. Very happy with all aspects of the food. A good choice at breakfast, including a choice of runny yolk vs. cooked yolk on the fried eggs. Evening meals were a set menu and therefore what was on the menu may not have been our first choice. That said, we were really happy with the flavours and the manner in which it was cooked. We tried new things and really enjoyed them. The buffet brunch..... excellent. Biggest problem was there was too much and we just wanted to eat more. Good choice, good quality, good flavour. The hotel is well located on the edge of a village with clear walking routes straight from the hotel. Certainly on our list of good places to go for a weekend away. Strongly recommend.

We travel to the Netherlands twice a year and this hotel has been our go to spot for 15 years. Starting as a Golden Tulip hotel and then Prince Hotel it now is owned by the Fletcher Hotel chain. Unfortunately, Fletcher has not put a dime into maintaining the building and property. Lobby is the same and with the restaurant, the most desirable areas in the hotel. When you walk down the hall to the rooms, you will see the stained carpet that is over 15 years old. While the rooms are small and the bathroom even smaller, you immediately see the same worn furniture and stained carpet with no changes in 15 years. Showers need attention and the entire room needs updating. Cleaning crew did not clean the large amount of hair on the floor behind the bathroom door. One evening, a huge pile of dirty sheets/towels were left in the middle of the hallway all night. Food in the restaurant is average and service is slow. For a nicer meal take the path down the road a short stroll to Floor Brassiare Restaurant. Nice food and service in a relaxing setting. We did rent two e bikes and the bikes were in very good condition. Sadly, I do not see us returning until the hotel is updated.

It is such a shame when any hotel allows it's ‘cheap and cheerful’ selling platform to degenerate into ‘shabby and grubby’ especially when the location is fantastic with absolutely no reason why standards should not be kept to a reasonable level. What problems did we have? We booked a suite. The corridor to the room was covered in dirty marks that made us want to leave before we had even gotten into the room. When we walked into the room the first thing that met us was an armchair that looked as though a family of mice inhabited it. More holes than a sieve and filthy dirty. When we reported the problem to Reception, they couldn’t do anything about it but, what was more to the point, we got the distinct impression that they couldn’t care less; the reason, being the hotel was fully booked. Herein lies the problem, the hotel is in a great location with little competition. We were meeting friends who were also staying in the area so had no choice. The room in the evening was like an oven and the air conditioning unit wasn’t working. We opened the one window (which overlooked the flat roof of an extension) and tried to get the room a little cooler before we went to bed. The bed was like a trampoline. As soon as one of us moved then the other person was practically catapulted onto the ceiling! The really stupid part was, because our room was ‘a suite’, robes and slippers were provided – the phrase about getting one's priorities right comes to mind.

Spent the night in this hotel and had dinner as well. It’s situated right in the middle of Holland’s largest(?) forested area, the ‘Veluwe’. Very quiet around here although the nearby town of Epe does offer good F&B and shopping opportunities. The hotel and restaurant are nice, but more of a three than four star level. Nothing much wrong with it, but just not a four star level. The rooms in particular are of a three star level. The swimming pool is wonderful though and the sauna more than adequate. I must admit, the staff were friendly and courteous at all times! In summary: - Great, quiet location - 3 Star hotel and restaurant - Pleasant service - Recommended for a short break

I was pleasantly surprised to stay here on our bus tour. The hotel is located in a forest and soon as you drive into the property you hear birds sing! Our room was quite roomy and very clean. The bathroom was kind of small and i hit my head on the heater when i got up from the toilet, ouch! It was good that I could turn on the pipe heater because it was cold at night. Breakfast had good variety and good quality food. The hotel has a nice size swimming pool. There was bike rental as well. So I guess it's a good resort location for the summer. The only complain from our group was the elevator. For a building of this size, there was only one tiny elevator fitting 6 persons. So if you have lots of luggage, get a room on the ground floor.

We stayed here on the very hot week at the end of July. It was unusually hot and the rooms were very warm. Uncomfortably warm. I was surprised that they didn't have any air conditioning. We had a very nice corner room but only one of the windows opened so we couldn't get a cool breeze. The corner room had the toilet separate from the bathrrom which is useful for two people staying. The bathroom was clean enough, not perfect, the shower tiles and sealant might need replaced but it was ok. The hotel is in the middle of the forest and the area is very nice to walk around in.This hotel has obviously been around for a long time and through a couple of owners. The current owners are doing a good job but could spend a little more time bringing it back to it's original condition. It has all the facilities and the staff are very good and I would like to stay here again if it wasn't so hot. Though it was exceptional weather. When we arrived in the car park, three fire engines rushed past to go to a forest fire we found out was only one KM away! We had a meal in the restaurant and it was very good. Service was a little odd, what I think was the restaurant manager got us a table quickly, gave us menus and took our drinks order. And then didn't come back! We had to ask other staff to get us our drinks eventually. When we did order food, again we had a long wait, and two other tables who arrived after us were served first. Otherwise it was very good food. But not good enough to justify the slightly high price for the meal and drinks. We got another drink and went outside to the area of tables and had a pleasant time there. Later we went into the downstairs bar for a drink but only stayed for one because one of the wall lights was flickering badly. The barman did offer to move us but it would have been much better to change the bulb. Altogether it is a nice enough hotel and I would stay again, but I would agree with other reviews who say the hotel could be modernised a little.

We had a very lovely stay in this hotel which is located in the middle of the forest. The family rooms were rather small but clean. The hotel also had a small swimming pool which was rather warm. The dinner provided by the hotel was good just as the breakfast. The wine served at the dinner was expensive and not that good.

This hotel has one big plus: Location Located in the middle of the forests it is a unique location for biking or walking. Unfortunately the rooms are outdated and need some refurbishing. A good paint job and some repair would do the hotel no harm!
