Off the beaten track! Great rooms, fast Internet for the kids and the warmth of the owners! Highly recommended. Keep in mind however that the village is almost "dead" in the early summer, so the restaurant of the hotel is not opened yet. A good place to eat exists by the harbour though.

This is a good stop when travelling between France and Spain, close to the border and near lots of beautiful places. The rooms were very clean, spacious, freshly decorated and well appointed. It was quiet and comfortable. I note the comments about the bathrooms being doorless, but they are behind a wall (not a screen as one review states) and...

we booked this hostal because we were doing a shopping trip to La Jonquera, wanted an overnight stop but not in LJ. we arrived at 6 o'clock on a cold and windy Saturday evening in November and were warmly greeted by the owners. We had booked a table in the restaurant because we were not sure what would be open...

We were two couples exploring Catalonia. We found this quirky hotel thanks to Trip Advisor. And all the reviews seem to get it about right, especially the highly personal and friendly reception by the owners. The very simple, but surprisingly comfortable rooms are fine. We ate there two nights, with drinks on the "terrace", but forced inside by the cold...

We booked the hostal because we were driving down towards Girona from Perpignan and wanted somewhere slightly off the beaten track, and cheap to stay. We just had one night arriving at about 8.00pm. The small town is very quiet, on a Tuesday night in May only two local bars were open so we returned to the hostal and chose...

Looking at a map you will find Colera situated about 2km from Portbou. That's fine if you bring your own helicopter. Unless you're an experienced hiker you will not be able to reach this hotel on foot from Portbou. There is however an infrequent train service. Those with a car will have no problem finding Totsompops as it's located at...

Great to a find a smaller, more personal place to stay on the Costa Brava in a town that hasn't surrendered to mass tourism yet. The rooms were simple but stylish, and great value compared with other places we contemplated, the only complaint being a very bright exit light. The owners were lovely, making a real effort to make us...

Colera village was very quiet, water crystal clear and great snorkeling among fish directly from the main village beach. Beach is small round stones and pretty steep. Maybe not so good for small kids. Not too many dining options in the village. And the hostal: modern and stylish. lovely breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice, excellent coffee, toasts, marmelade, charcuterie/cheese....

This is a small town, beach easy accessible. The town was not crowded beginning of June which we thoroughly enjoy in the evening. The rooms are clean and mattresses great. We got a very good night sleep. I wouldn’t recommend having the breakfast here (which is continental - toast and gems), walk to the café nearby instead
