Stayed in 2 different apartments during the 23 day stay. Upstairs apartment had 2 double rooms and had a shared bathroom. Down stairs room had 2 on suite double rooms. Both apartment were well equipped for cooking meals and had large lounge areas. Only bedrooms have air conditioning, the lounges could get quite hot. The staff were fantastic, very friendly...

We wanted a less expensive place for two nights before getting on a cruise. Paradise Villas was as advertised. There is a convenience store close by for basic food, and one fast food joint, not very good. But more than compensated by helpful staff and access in 2 minutes or so to the best ever beach for long walks and...

I stayed there last year, Paradise villas is extremely clean and is located in a convenient area. Definitely plan on staying there again. It is comfortable and is better maintained than other places that I paid more for.

My partner and I just returned from a 5 night stay at Paradise Villas. We had a wonderful time in Barbados, and this guesthouse suited our needs perfectly. We were looking for budget-friendly accommodations in St. James near a friend we were visiting. Our room was very well kept by the house keeping staff and it was larger than I...

We stayed here for a month on study abroad. The apartments are nice and spacious with a great view of the Caribbean. The beach is only a couple hundred yards away. The grounds are well kept, and there is a bank and convenience store both within walking distance. There is a taxi stand next door, and a bus stop (to...

We had a wonderful time there. We were a group of 18 adults and children. Some of us have been there before, but there were a few of us that traveled to Barbados for the first time. The island is beautiful. The villas are walking distance from the beach and we took advantage of that almost every day. The rooms...

Have been to Barbados many times since 1989--generally to stay at ny time share in Sunset Crest. However, when I started a study abroad program there in 2005, Paradise Villas was recommended as an ideal site for our students. Access to the bus line and taxi stand made it ideal for them when they wanted to get around. The beach...

I had to spend a week in Barbados for business less than two months after my baby was born. I was very hesistant traveling to a third world country with a newborn. Paradise Villas was a dream. I stayed in the suite type cottage which was about 15 feet from the caribbean ocean (a perfect swimming beach). The room was...

The apartments themselves are fine, clean and not too basic. The location is terrible. The apts are right next to a VERY busy and noisy road and behind is a 'lovely' view of a factory! The walk to the beach is only about 2 mins but you have to walk through a derelict building to get to the beach and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Paradise Villas is a beautiful apartment complex nestled amongst a grove of trees right off the main Spring Garden highway on the West Cost of St. Michael, Barbados. This property is perfect for the discount traveller, who is looking for a great room for an even better price. We are a 3-minute walk from a major bus stop that can take you to any part of the island, but this is an ideal property for anyone renting a vehicle and venturing out on their own to explore the island. Several apartments have ocean views but the closest swimable beach is about a 5 minute drive, or 20 minute walk. All apartments are equiped with a fully functional kitchen and there is a grocery store and bank within walking distance. We are also only a 10 minute walk from the University of the West Indies Barbados campus so we are a perfect spot for any traveling students or parents wishing to visit this school. ... more   less

“Some rooms are closer to the highway - so if traffic noise is a concern request one farther away from the highway. Also, rooms on the south side will have shade on the terrace in the morning - which may make it nicer to sit out - they may also have ocean views from terrace, but I'd ask.”
