We've been with my husband in this wonderful place! An excellent service, perfect cleanliness and the hotel workers all super friendly!
It has a wonderful spa and the food in their restaurant is delicious.
Everything really impeccable!
I highly recommend it for any type of trip, with a partner, friends, family.
So worth it, hopefully will be back next year.

We stayed at the Turm Grachenhof Hotel on the 19th and 20th of September as part of the Swiss Epic. We were initially booked into a standard room but a friend had booked two superior room so we were upgraded. The owner Jacqualine was very helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was lovely. We had a memorable stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

We've just returned from a trip to Graechen where we stayed in Turmhotel Gracherhof. It's a great hotel- the rooms are of a good size, clean and the cleaning staff is very friendly. The food is excellent, the chef's particularly good at local dishes (like Cholera). Breakfast was a special affair as one could cook one's own egg (fry with bacon and herbs or cook). The coffeemachine with all sorts of coffee (cappuccino/macchiato) was also a favourite. But the best thing about this centrally located hotel is the service which is absolutely wonderful. Best service we've had- ever!

So let me start, I will definitely come back. If the hotel communicated pro actively, there wouldn’t have been a bad review. What happened is that I booked a room 1 month prior to my holiday. On the day I arrived I was notified the hotel was overbooked and I was redirected to the Alpina hotel. Alpina was a okay hotel, but not compared to what I payed for. I first had to complain before the offered a solution with an upgrade. The upgrade was very nice, but I find it disappointing that I had to be confronted with a passive hotel. A hotel, tried to set me off with staying in a lesser hotel for the same price.
Positive things about the hotel; breakfast is extensive, very friendly and helpful staff, awesome facilities with sauna and very comfortable and nice decorated rooms.

A charming and pleasant place for a three-star hotel of good standing. The dinner was good. Although the service lacks professionalism, it is nevertheless nice. The hotel is in Grächen, a little village well situated to visit Zermatt (approximately 21 kms) and its beautiful Matterhorn mountain.

The hotel was quaint but modern and more than I would have expected for a 3 star. The only complaint I would have is that dinner was served very early although it was very good! The spa was also great although slightly overpriced.

The manager of the hotel was helpless, she forgot to tell us that we needed a card to open enter the hotel at night (she gave us the card saying it was for the spa). We had to wander around, asking somebody to help us call the reception to finally get in. At the checkout she vaguely apologized, joking that she didn't get our call cause she was sleeping - lol. Later on she emailed me saying that she told us about the card and that we forgot it and that everything was our fault.. of course. We never heard about wifi, did not get information about the village or where to go (she just pointed out the maps). And to sum up, the room was like 1m50 high, looking quite nice but only enjoyable for midgets.

Response from DCG_THG, Inhaber at Lifestyle & Spa Hotel Grächerhof
Responded 15 Aug 2017
Dear Mrs Baud, many thanks for your explanations regarding your stay in our property. We are sorry, if you met circumstances which did not allow you to enjoy your stay. The concernced guest information you are complaining about makes part of our standard communication to our guests. These information are given several hundred times per year. On your arrival, we had the pleasure to provide you with the correct information, that the card, which we handed over to you, is for both, the access to the SPA as well as for the access to the hotel. In case that guests forget their card - as you unfortunately did - the hotel manager can be called by phone at any time, which you did around midnight. The manager provided you quickly with the urgency code enabling you to enter the hotel immediately. We apologize sincerely, but we cannot see any mistake on behalf of our hotel staff, but we will of course, verify once again our quality rules regarding the communication of guest information. Concerning your "Alpe" guest room - these cosy and alpine style rooms represent our best room category - we regret, if the quality level due to a normal and regular slanting roof did not fit with your expectations. In case of a future stay we highly recommend to book a room category with a flat ceiling, and we will, of course, store this criteria in your guest profile. We would highly appreciate to welcome you again, to allow us to convince you about our hospitality and high quality service which will make you entirely enjoy your stay in Grächen. With best regards Jacqueline Fux Owner

We visited the Grächerhof to explore Zermatt and the surrounding area and it was a great base for this.
Let me start with the highlight of our stay - the dinner! We had dinner at Grächerhof and the food was just delicious. The meat was extremely tender and the taste was perfect.
The rooms are spacious and clean, but a little dated. The breakfast buffet was nice and had ample selection. The location in Grächen is really nice with the town being quite charming.
The only slight negative was the spa, which does cost an extra CHF 30 per person and then some features cost (foot bath, bubbly bath tub) cost even extra on top. If this would have been free I would have given a 5-star rating, but even as it is I can really recommend this hotel!

We came here with our small children many years running. The resort is charming, the pistes are a bit limited but ideal for young children. The hotel is very comfortable, especially the modernised corner rooms, the food very good indeed. I also came to the hotel 40 years ago, when the rooms were not modernised, but the welcome and overall comfort could not be faulted.

My wife and me wanted to relax and booked the spa here on christmas eve as the other spa was booked already. We were the first people to try it out they said as it was brand new. The price was a bit over the top (200sfr), as it was loaded on to a card that we then could use for any of the items in the spa (sauna/jacuzzi/sunbed etc etc) and we still had about 120 left when we were finished after 3 hours...
Anyway, nice private spa, just the two of us.
Would be fun with a bunch of friends, beers and music :D
Gave them a few suggestions to improve on:
simplify the card system
give wifi access at the spa (for streaming music)
drinks/food options
