3 of us recently spent 1 night on two separate occasions and absolutely fell in love with the place, mostly for its amazing beauty and historical significance. We felt as if we were guests in a very elegant and stylish residence, full of charm and...More
We stayed for one night. We arrived late but were welcomed into the fabulous dining room where we enjoyed a three-course dinner of very generous servings for a modest cost. The waiters were very professional and pleasant. The reception staff were also very welcoming and...More
Stayed here for 2 nights in a Junior Suite and have to say we were totally unimpressed. It was hot (especially for Scots) and the air conditioning wasn't working, so we reported this to reception before going out for the evening. We were told it...More

One of the staff is extremely rude. He cursed us because our keycard didn't work. The room aren't as nice as on the website. We had to change room due to ants. I don't recommend anyone staying at this place.

As JockeSthlm said, the surroundings of the hotel and the common areas are very nice. There are serious problems with some rooms and general service, though. I have seen a few of those and in general double rooms look better than those meant for single occupation. In general, I found the hotel highly overpriced for what it was. If the prices were half what they were I probably would have accepted lack of hot water on several occasions or loud music at night (among others). I will not stay there again myself. Not good value for money!
