I had previously had cause to write a rather scathing review of the room we were allocated at this hotel and for which we had paid an upgrade. I am happy to report that the Rooms Manager has now refunded the money paid (which was apparently a mistake in any case) and has offered us a good deal should we...

Stayed here for 6 weeks, Jan-Feb 2017. 3rd visit in past 4 years and the standards keep improving. Very friendly & helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Great restaurants and leisure facilities. Mellieha is a lovely, typical Maltese town with excellent bus connections to rest of island. This is a real 'home from home' with good weather as a bonus.

Was in for a very pleasant surprise. A very welcoming lobby and Chiara, an even more helpful receptionist, are the first thing you meet once you make your way to the desk. All hotel surroundings are quite relaxing, be it the bar, restaurant, breakfast hall, etc. Rooms very tidy, spacious, comfortable and not too small. I'd recommend this hotel with...

Nice friendly staff, always happy to help. Rooms were clean and nice little touches like a birthday card from the staff left for us. On bus route so easy to get about. Quite a walk to beach but buses easy to use.

My brother had booked this holiday for himself and two other friends and asked us to join him which we did and we were very pleased we did. The hotel solana is situated in mellieha and is next to a main road which did not bother us as at all. Our bedroom was situated on the first floor and faced...

Greeted by a very helpful and smiling receptionist. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable. Other reviews say about the view into a courtyard or road; this hotel is in the town not at the beach so not sure what people expect. The food is of a good quality, it won't win gastronomic awards but there is plenty of...

Having booked a short trip for myself and partner to the Solana I have to say we would not return. The room booked was not the room we stayed in. I had booked a room with a view and balcony, we ended up in what I can only describe as a prison cell. There was no natural light, the blind...

We have today returned from a 5day break at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised, after some of the comments we had read on trip advisor. It is on a main street and is very appealing from the outside. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. We were upgraded on arrival from the standard...
