Hotel's Favourite
We returned again to this stunningly and beautifully designed resort that is simply, paradise! Having suffered through several difficult personal situations, my wife and I needed an emergency mental recharge and, after considering some other wonderful resorts, I knew the ultimate Zen location would be back at Amanyara. We always stay in an Ocean Pavilion as they offer stunning views throughout the day of the ocean, sky, mind-blowing sunsets, and a star filled sky at night. Although this was our 4th visit to Amanyara, the beautiful architecture and property continued to stun and fill my photo app with pictures. The nighttime lighting of the structures is just as stunning. Added to this picturesque surrounding is a staff that provides as much attention, or as little, as one desires. With beaming, warm and friendly smiles they seek to make the impossible possible. We have always found the staff to be very interesting to talk to as they have had a variety of experiences and backgrounds. This trip involved a particular situation with us that the staff compassionately and quietly went to great extents to accommodate and we were so truly grateful for their kind assistance.
As I mentioned to the staff upon departure, we have traveled and stayed at many fabulous resorts and hotels, including other Amans, around the world. Normally, we are happy at the end of the trip and ready for our departure onward. But every stay at Amanyara has been different as, although we have had a fabulous stay, we are truly sad to be leaving such a beautiful and Zen environment and pine for a few more days there!

Five stars doesn’t give Amanyara justice. This place is truly exceptional and exceeds the most discerning expectations - Amanyara is a magical paradise. My husband proposed here and less than a year later we decided to go back for our honeymoon. And we are not alone as most guests are repeat visitors and have become part of the “Amanyara Family.
The food is fresh and delicious, and the chef will create any meal that you desire. The staff works incredibly hard and is beyond accommodating. The service is the best I’ve ever experienced. The spa is world-class and the resort is simply breathtaking and perfectly maintained. And the beach - WOW! My favorite beach in the world. Amanyara is truly 10/10. So thankful for Ian and all of the amazing staff. We cannot wait to be back.

Love this place of Zen and relaxation! Just finished our 3rd trip here having been here last June during Covid and in 2019 just before Covid. We absolutely love this resort as the buildings, scenery, location are so beautiful and peaceful. And the staff is just the best from the managers to all levels, so genuinely friendly, accommodating and happy. We have stayed at many Aman resorts and other top hotels and resorts around the world and this is one of our favorites.
There is much to do here or do nothing but recharge your system. We had 2 excellent mediation sessions with Toby, who is relatively new to the resort but very experienced, and this was a new bonus. There was also a delicious Arabian meal night that should not be missed.
The staff here go to extraordinary lengths to provide a great and relaxing experience.
This year we used the expedited airport service and were so glad for it. We left on a Monday and the airport was mobbed with long immigration lines that, using this service, allowed us to go the front. Also, the quiet air-conditioned separate area was a respite from the packed lounge area, making this expense well worth the cost.

The resort, location and beach are all great. However, I called ahead of time to ask about the service at the hotel and would have liked to hear more recent feedback. My biggest fear staying at the Amanyara was that the service would be subpar due to pandemic impacts, and nobody I knew was able to provide recent feedback. Unfortunately, the service was terrible at the Amanyara. I have many examples to provide.
1. I ordered breakfast and they brought incomplete items, no silverware, did not ask if we needed anything else. When my wife called in to explain the situation, the lady yelled at us and told us we should be more precise and ask for things such as silverware to be included, etc. Never had we stayed at a place with such disrespectful service, especially with the nightly rates they charge.
2. The servers at the beach never offered anything so I had to walk to the nearest restaurant and order things. When they brought them, it was in carton boxes and the wind knocked everything over. Not enjoyable and this is the first time I see any hotel do this.
3. It took us 3 days to get a small speaker in our room because apparently the hotel only has a few. When I checked out they made me go back to my room and bring it to the front desk instead of sending someone to pick it up.
4. They made the massage therapist drive us back to our room instead of having someone else who does this.
5. Usually at places I've stayed with this nightly rate we get a butler, and here it was everything but that.
6. I never saw the manager except when we arrived and the day we left -- poor supervision and LACK of training.
I will not be going back to any Aman resort anytime soon and would recommend you advise other customers to beware and speak with the hotel to improve their level of service. Service is why we pay premium. This was not at all fair.

This is our third Aman resort. Our previous stays in Amans were exceptional and everything was on point, hence our expectations were high for our week long stay. Unfortunately, our stay at Amanyara was everything but this.
The service at this resort is non-existent. Most of the staff do not smile, greet you or ask you if they can assist. At breakfast, the service is very slow, with items often being forgotten. The waiters look like they do not want to be there. When sitting at the beach the staff never approach to assist. Instead you are handed a towel and some water and have to chase them down if you want to order anything.
Furthermore, the food is really poor for its price point. There is a complete lack of vegan options and the menu is extremely limited, with meals being flavourless. For example, one would expect plenty of fresh fruit options in such a place but this is not the case. Additionally, the restaurants charges extortionate prices (+$50 for a simple tomato pasta excluding 27% tax !!!)
Additionally, during our stay the buggy made available to us was taken by staff on numerous occasions, leaving us without one. When confronted, the staff did not offer an apology. To top things off, housekeeping was sloppy as it was often incomplete (e.g towels not replaced, no new fruits given).
Finally, we never saw the manager during our stay, indicating poor supervision and lack of training.
We will not be returning and are extremely disappointed in the Aman brand. For the price they charge and the additional 5% facility charge the experience was extremely underwhelming. At this price point there are a plethora of other resorts of exceptional quality so take your money elsewhere.

We wended up here after a trip to Malcolm’s road where the barrel reef is being created (very rough road, jeep is best or you can park and walk down). Our lunch at the Beach Bar was really overpriced and not super tasty. I had the fish of the day, mahi mahi with a few small stalks of romaine. ($35) the fish serving size was probably 1.5” x 3”, It was a tiny piece and not well seasoned but rather a little fishy. I wish I had taken a photo. I can’t recommend eating here, unless you just need food and want to enjoy the view.

On a recommendation from a local resident of being the best sunset in all the islands, and expensive cuisine. The four of us (foodies) from Colorado & California decided to try and went in with high expectations. The drive to the resort, undesirable, perhaps we should have chartered a yaught!..once we arrived, the entrance was spectacular. Service was as expected, exceptional. The wine/cocktail menu nice, and offered great local special drinks. We ordered the following:
* Tuna appetiser, nothing unique, flavor bland.
*Beet salad: Awesome!
* Surf & Turf (lobster some filet): lobster was rubbery, the steak was 1/8th inch thick, and perfectly round, no flavor, and they served 2 tortalinis stuffed with something I couldn't identify. To say the least I was very disappointed for an 85.00 entree.
* Mango salad: very good taste, but where was the mango?
* Special dietary request (vegan, gluten free, no soy or corn) they accommodated that request with a delicious meal, to include truffle mashed potatoes, a asparagus, and.
Overall this was our least favorite place to eat, compared to infinity, Coco bistro, coyaba Resturant..

Terrible service. I made lunch reservations for our family and friends which included 8 children. The table was not ready, the waiter seemed annoyed that he had to serve us. The server brought the wrong wine twice to our guests. The worst was there was a clump of hair like foreign material in my French fries. When I showed the new waitress, she said it was just the plastic used to clean the potatoes and to not worry. Gross. We visit providenciales twice a year and make an effort to have lunch here. This was the worst service ever. I called to voice my concerns to Franc (a manager), she said she would look into my experience and call me back. She did not call me back! I sent a follow up email and was ignored. This place is overrated and does not cater to people with children. I was very disappointed with my experience. Dr. Kathryn Finlayson

A once in a lifetime experience. From the wonderful staff, to the beautiful rooms, the delicious food, the heavenly spa & of course the most dreamy white sand beach- every part of this experience is luxurious. Amanyara is amazing & the staff will go out of their way to make you feel that way!
We already cant wait to come back!
We were hesitant to come after bad reviews we read from January & I am so glad we didn’t listen to those reviews because they couldn’t be more wrong!
We came for a big birthday celebration and every single staff member went out of their way to make sure we had the best time & also felt safe with Covid. They helped my husband with surprises, decorations, and were always there if we needed them!
Tina and Alex you both deserve raises, you were beyond helpful and so kind!!!
(Photos attached of all their hard work and I love them for it!)
Every staff member was amazing, I can’t begin to describe how attentive & truly kind they all were, but I’m going to try!
Conrad at the beach bar was by far the most amazing bartender we have ever had at a resort! He even decorated our chairs for my birthday and brought us out special cocktails to celebrate!
The beach crew Brisloi/Tyrone/Panos made sure our chairs were set up everyday and always were there if we needed more water or a bite to eat.
The restaurant was wonderful, all the food is delicious! Putu, Willard, Ervin, Hermie were the best! (Try the Waygu Rengdeng & Lobster Curry it’s out of this world!)
The chefs also were so kind and helpful in creating my magical birthday dinner by the ocean, Oliver- thank you!!!
Truly thank you to all the staff, they were all hands down the BEST.
A wonderful experience that I will never forget & hope to be back soon!

I’ve been in 10 Aman hotels all over the world; actually this was my second time in Amanyara and it was a complete deception. We were here in Amanyara in 2012 (when Mr Zecha still operated the company) and everything was pristine, with excellent service, food, treatment, management everything was perfect.
We came again for the second time at Amanyara and it is a complete chaos. The food is horrible, like actually tastes bad, súper few options to choose from, not even local fish is available, and not to mention they never had lobster (they always where out of it). The service, what can I tell you, I’ve never experienced such a bad service for a $4k charge a night at a resort/hotel. The staff was rude, they didn’t even waited for me to finish my order and then went out of their way and left me talking to my myself; of course this resulted in the waitress bringing everything wrong. Everyone was rude, if you asked where the restroom was, no one answered, asked again and responded with a tone. I ordered a lemonade at the beach and it too 1:15 hrs to be delivered. We went to dinner at the beach club, where Italian menu was served, my pasta was undercooked and not properly drained, so the meat ragú was soaking in water, my husbands risotto looked like a porridge or an oatmeal, the taste was disgraceful.
This hotel is definitely a rip-off and a has-been, the furniture is dirty, clearly they do not have the proper maintenance to keep everything in clean and up to standard of a luxury hotel. All of the bicycles were rusty and old, the golf carts where dirty, everything was really really bad. I even found rose petals in my bedding (from the past guests I guess).
So we checked out and came to the Ritz Carlton, where service is amazing, everyone is nice and friendly, food is delicious.
Aman just lost an Amanjunkie guest for ever. Never coming back
