The French lady owner was extremely hostile and arrogant. Like another poster had mentioned she tried to pull a fast one by quoting a higher rate than what was published taking us for fools, and then sheepishly changed her price when called out on it. Extremely surly attitude. Come here if you want to be disrespected and treated like crap.
We took the personal chalet and it has a bathroom at the back. This place is very peaceful and the owners are lovely people. We have returned many times during weekends to enjoy the calmness of ZGH and we shall certainly return again. Recommended for large groups, tons of place to run around for Kids. Back to nature.
We decided to rent a campsite for RM20/pax per night despite the reviews from TripAdvisors are not so pleasant. And boy, we are so happy that we chose this place! Pros: 1. Large compound and surrounded with trees. Your mornings and nights will be greeted by insects buzzing and the sound of the flowing river just beside the compound. 2. Stove, bbq pit and sink are available in the public kitchen. 3. Zaini, the owner is super friendly! 4. Get ready to be serenaded by Zaini's guitar skill and if you are lucky enough, you can enjoy zaini and his friends playing the band. 5. Toilets with shower are available for campers. 6. Mosquito coils are available. Cons: 1. Nothing to complain about actually =) Tips: 1. Bring an insect repellent. 2. You may need a torch light as it gets quite dark at night. …
1. Upon arrival, owner is not there went for kenduri. No one entertain us.We find room ourself. 2. No mosquito net set up at the chalet I stayed. My 2 years old son, husband and I had bad bite in midnight. We didn't manage to sleep well. It's nightmare for me as next morning I notice my son's face full of mosquito bite like ppl caught by chicken pox. 3. A group of teenagers played guitar, sang n talked loud at midnight till 130am just next to our chalet. Owner is not present to stop them. 4. Dinner and breakfast meal arrived very late.Kid and eldest grandparent was hungry deadly.During food catering request, owner didn't informed there is food stall outside easy to access. So actually no food catering needed. I would not return to this place anymore.
I has been months since my last camping trip and things in the office are making me nuts and the crazy haze....owhhh so suffocating.... so I've decided to distressed my self and have a short camping trip together with my two friends. Since this time only girls are joining I've picked a place that i think would be safe and fun for them as this would be the first camping experience for them. I've came across zaini's guest house through someone's blog in the internet and totally hooked up! We started our journey on late saturday afternoon from Klang, Selangor and reached there about 5.30pm. We could not find any signboard to lead us to the place and we need to call them for direction. I think personally, that is a good sign since i hate if the place was overly promoted and i hate if there will be too many people since i need a peaceful and quiet time. We were excited when crossing the stream to reach the camping site and it was a beautiful sight. Totally forgot of the tiredness of long driving. While walking we heard an enchanting drum playing in a distance and start to follow the sound. We again cross another small stream and up a tiny hill towards a charming wooden house. There it was...Brother Zaini (the owner) with his his friend welcoming us with a song! After a short chit chat session, a lady who runs the resort introduce herself and showed us the way to our camping site. Basically we can put up our tent anywhere we like! We chose the best spot to camp and unpack our staff. While cooking our rice, it started to rain. We hurriedly transferred all our cooking tools to an open kitchen provided there. Save from the rain we happily continue our cooking. The owner informed us that we are free to use all the equipment in the kitchen including their refrigerator too. Awesome... After dinner we head back to our camp and lazily lying around, singing and of course checking our phones :) Close to 9pm we heard slowly again the enchanting music came from Brother Zaini's house and i suggested to my friends that we go there and ask permission to listen. My friends agreed and we all grabbed our torch lights and start to make our short journey in the dark to go to the owners house. At first we a too embarrassed to ask to join and about to make a u turn. But suddenly we stop and change our mind. They turned out happy to have us as their guests and started to play one song to another. One by one Brother zaini's friends showed up and instantly grab their instrument and join the jam session. Guitar, ukulele, flute, percussion, and many kinds of small drums. The night became an enchanted night. with the music and insects sounds.. it was magical... can't help but smiled all through night . Way after midnight we thanked them and say goodnight. The cool breeze there make easy for us to fall asleep. I woke up early and cooked breakfast for my friends. After eating, we explore the ground a bit and cool ourselves in the stream. We packed our stuffs, shower ( the toilet was clean, the water pressure was good and the water was iced cold! :) perfect...) took pictures and say goodbye to all the people there. They were so friendly and treat us like a family. Definitely will come again :) …
