It was an impromptu weekend planned with a few friends. Just driving through the gates down the tree-lined driveway gave one a feeling of tranquillity. We were greeted by the very pleasant resort Manager and his staff. From then on the experience was ever so positive. The Villas were amazing and were all unique! The kampong style Villa had a charm of its own, while the luxury villas were sparingly large, very well furnished and airy. While there were 4 of us in the Villa, it could have easily slept 6. The dining area was open and was a nice area to sit a chat with friends. Coffee and Tea was free flow. The food was amazing. The menu varied with a really nice selection. Barbeque for dinner with a variety of food marinated in different spices. The Nasi Lemak for breakfast was…
An amazing discovery! We have been to Janda Baik quite often but many many years ago ( 20 years maybe). Its heartwarming to step inside Aman Rimba and see how Janda Baik have transformed and could have such a beautiful place. My daughter cant believe that a beautiful place like Aman Rimba exist in Malaysia. It feels like we were in Bali or one of those exotic retreat somewhere exclusive. The beauty is enhanced further by the cleanliness of the place and the efficiency and good attitude of the staff. Its understated elegance combined with a showcase of Malaysian heritage is a job well done. A very well thought flow of things in the estate and very well maintained. We love the fishing, the river dipping, the cycling and the swimming pool! Not to mention the fusball and the pool…
Its about 45 minutes to 1 hour drive from the city. We had 2 night relaxing and enjoyable stay at Aman Rimba. Grounds are beautiful. Matured gardens. The villas were well maintained for a place that has been around for a while. Staff were attentive and helpful to our needs. Food was great and plentiful. Order all meals from the estate as you won't want to leave. Kids enjoyed the grounds, the swimming pool and games room was their fave place. One comment would be to have the dining area to have more couches as that was where all 6 families hung out the most. Other than that a lovely stay at Aman Rimba.
A group of 22 of us (ranging in age from 2yrs -42yrs) spent 3 days 2 nights on the estate. We would not hesitate to recommend it to big groups of friends and family. Firstly - the full board option makes life very easy for everyone. The food was delicious, and too much! (We honestly felt we could have fed more people!). We had a few dietary requests from the group and they were accommodating to our requests. The estate is in extremely good condition, and is very well maintained. If I had to pick an area of improvement it would be that they upgrade the bicycles and for them to have a few more comfortable lounging chairs by the pool area and the dining area. (The dining area by default became our central hang out point - so while very functional for meal times, not so great for…
35 of us from grandparents to grandchildren spent a great weekend at Aman Rimba. The location is jsut perfect i.e. not too far away form KL , just over an hour's drive. Some of te family members were day trippers. The place is nice and cosy and the staff were excellent. The grandkids ages 14 yrs to 5 mths had plenty of things to do. The place is also very secured so the kids were allowed to roam freely within the compund. Food was excellent and plentiful! We had to keep on asking the staff to reduce the portions after each meal as they were indeed generous with their portions. There goes the Diet! We had a great relaxing weekend bonding with each other. This was actually our Second Family Trip to Aman Rimba.
