Stayed there while filming around Kundasang. The people were amazing and friendly. Always with a smile and giving us tips on what to do around Kundasang. Theres a cafe as well which serves warm food and drinks. Not fancy but its nice and tasty. Also lots of snacks and instant noodles! (Ideal for the cold weather) Wifi is only available... More

We knew arriving here it was going to be very basic accommodation but ....there were no sheets in the bed !! That's ok we slept with our clothes on. The staff were nice and the food simple and adequate. The reason for my low rating is that I could not sleep a wink. The hotel is right on the main... More

With regard to price and proximity to both the Park and return busses to Kota Kinabalu, D'Villa is the best value. Dormitories are dry and reasonably comfortable, however do get very cold at night. Extra blankets are available for a small fee, as are kettles of hot water. The shared bathroom is clean and spacious with one shower, and the... More

Whilst it's not a exceptionally high standard (like a westin or hilton) there are plenty of people who travel by themselves of as couples that would happily stay here and have no issues with it. I stayed here the night before I climbed mount kinabalu and the night after I got down. The double room cost me and my girlfriend... More

We didn't stay at the lodge, just went there for something to eat. The menu is very limited and we ordered a curry laksa. After a very long time we were finally served our food - a soup with lots of oil, noodles and a little bit of chicken. The worst thing I ate in Malaysia. Better avoid this restaurant!

We walk-in to this lodge during our visit to Kundasang. Staff is friendly. Room is basic. Toilet is clean but the water heater not functioning. No wifi access in the room. Free breakfast is average. Morning view at the cafe area is wonderful. Pied fantail spotted hanging around the cafe, and Black the dog. Its a walkable distance to national... More

I stayed here a year ago. The circumstances has gone bad. The trucks passing by during the night is OK, but the bar across the road seems to have got louder than a year ago. Then there were drunks who made a raucous till pass 3 am. I hardly had two winks till pass 4:30am. Unless you are a super... More

The location is okay as it is within walking distance of the Park and the lodge has friendly staff and a nice view off the back. However, if you would like to get some sleep before an early assult on the mountain or just would like to get some sleep period, You better bring earplugs. The trucks that use the... More

We spent the night here before climbing Mt. Kinabalu. It has very relaxing view, the dormitory room was basic but clean. Free WiFi and breakfast are included. If you're not geared up properly for the climb, they sell cheap jackets, gloves and headlamps. The staff are friendly and helpful. They let us store some of our things in their storage... More

We had a great time staying there! Our room was fine, the food was good and you have an amazing view from the terrace. The family who runs the place is very friendly and helpful and we even could leave our luggage there while we climbed up Mt. Kinabalu (the lodge is very close to the park entrance, so after... More
