Recently stayed here for two weeks with my wife. The building is new and well appointed with good parking, also it's very close to the ocean, a matter of a few steps. Normally we self cater but we tried this place as a B&B and it worked OK. The owners make a good effort to satisfy their guests, plus they have a good sense of humour which always pleases me and their English is very good too. We had no issues at all and I thoroughly recommend Villa Kanata.

Thanks for the review, we're glad to hear that our little bed and breakfast setup works, and it's also nice to hear that we have a good sense of humour. Our English is actually fluent, or even native, as we spent many years living, studying, and working in Canada.

We stayed there for one night. Goal was to have a quick gate away to sea, so search criteria for a place to stay was: not far drive from Zagreb and that it's situated close to the beach. I'm happy to say Villa Kanata met the criteria. It's approximately two hours’ drive from Zagreb and literally ten steps from the beach. Building is newly built and rooms are freshly refurbished. Room itself is quite big, nicely decorated with everything you would need. Big bed (with one big cover, I especially liked that, I don't like when couples get two covers although I guess some people prefer that), little table with two chairs. Small table. Closet. TV. And of course bathroom, it’s also large, you need to turn on boiler for warm water, but it doesn’t take long to heat up and water pressure is good. Bathroom also has towels and hair dryer. There is also a small balcony, we had a yard side room, but still from the corner we could view the seat. I guess if you take the sea side room view is really beautiful. Villa serves breakfast (we didn’t take it tough), there is a small area with tables in lounge and also terrace where you can sit. There is also a guest fridge in the lobby that everyone can use, I really liked that. They also have a shelf with family games and some books for people to borrow. Nice touch, also liked that. Wi-Fi it says is available in the lobby, didn't try it out so can't say anything about strenght. To shorten: room was clean, bed was comfortable, we really enjoyed it. Hotel has its own parking, but if you would want to stay a bit longer (after check out time and enjoy beach) there are two more places to park for free nearby. Beach itself is concrete one and really close to the Villa. There is a bar there also where you can get beverages and ice cream. The little town itself is also few steps away, you can take a nice stroll and there are few restaurants. For a brief sea enjoying visit this was a perfect place to stay, we loved it and recommend it.

Daniel was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. The room is as advertised, clean, comfy, and has a great sea view. The beach is literally in front of the house, and there is a nice little cave as well!

I was travelling on my motorcycle through Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Hungary, and it was the best place so far! Staff was very friendly. Daniel was the best. He provided me with everything i wanted. Can't imagine better host. Place was quite new and most importantly clean. Sea view was the best thing. It was so great to drink a beer with that kind of view from my balcony. It is very good place for motorcyclists, since there is quite big parking spot and possibility to leave motorcycle under the roof on rainy days. I can recommend this place for literally everyone. Loved it!

In this time of a year it is extremely peaceful place ideal if you need a retreat from stressful daily life. Beach practically could not be closer to the house and owners are extremely friendly. If you are looking for nice and quiet place this is a great choice.
