    A lovely pub set amongst some stunning scenery. Overlooking a village green. Good selection of real ales. Well worth the drive. Didn't eat. Would return. Not a lot more to add. You won't be disappointed

    After a lovely walk around Elterwater we came across the Britannia inn,it was perfect for a lunch and pint. We all had sandwiches and a bowl of chips to share,the kids sandwich came with a banana , kitkat and crisps.

    Yes, there are veggie options and there are different specials each night. In Ambleside there is a very good vegetarian restaurant called Fellinis.
