Long Bay Beach Resort is a boutique oceanfront resort located on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Situated on a mile of pristine white sand and Caribbean sea, the resort features a gourmet restaurant, hip beach bar, and luxury hotel suites, each with its own outdoor patio, lounge area, and sea view showers. No detail is overlooked. The gourmet restaurant, which is located inside a renovated sugar mill from 1748, features island style tapas, house-made flatbreads, and local caught seafood. We stayed at Long Bay in Tortola for 2 days prior to departing on a weeklong sailing trip. It was a great place to settle in BVI. Very chill environment, super helpful staff (assisted finding a water taxi for us after an issue with the ferry) and great design. Rooms were fabulously simple highlighting ocean view. Food was good but bit pricey for what it was. Overall nice place for a few nights. Could feel a little small for a longer stay.

Just WOW! We were a little hestitant at first since it’s about 40min from the airport and no pool (looking to have one in near future) But we are so glad we booked here! Akil, the hotel manager greeted us like we’ve never been greeted at check in. Our rooms were not ready so he offered us to sit at the restaurant porch overlooking the ocean, the views and ambiance were breathtaking. He served us drinks as we waited, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The property is landscaped with gorgeous tropical flowers, bamboo decor and stone. When our rooms were ready, Akils service was top notch 5 star. He was our personal butler, concierge and bartender. We felt like royalty. He personally gave us a tour of each of our 3 individual rooms. The views, bathrooms and room layout are fantastic! Pictures don’t do this justice, you just have to experience yourself. We were speechless. Local Restaurants are close by, we recommend a taxi service or drive. It seemed the town came alive on a Thursday, we arrived on a Tuesday and things seemed to be closed. Remember the BVI is definitely on “island time,” no rushing, just complete relaxation and took their time. It took a minute for us coming from the USA to adjust. Longbay is pure bliss. The rooms were gorgeous and the view from the room is breathtaking. Bedding was so cozy and crisp. The entire staff is welcoming and kind. Akil met us upon arrival and showed us around. He seemed to ALWAYS be there, so I’m not sure when he sleeps! We left the room at different times daily and when we would return it would be pristine and refreshed with fresh coffee, water and a cleaned French press for the next morning. They had bikes, paddle boards, surf boards and snorkel equipment available. The restaurant and beach bar were beautiful. This was by far the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Longbay!

We loved our stay at this incredible place, the views are so nice and the service is very good, specially Akil’s. He was always willing to help with a smile and making sure everything was ok. Excellent stay at Long Bay! Everything was wonderful! The room and resort grounds are absolutely beautiful. Loved being able to open the door and walk straight out to the beach and listen to the ocean waves at night. Drinks were hand crafted and food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious! We loved the peace and tranquillity of this resort, it was exactly what we were looking for. Akil is an excellent host and can book anything for you. Highly recommend staying here! It's paradise!

We stayed at Long Bay Resort after dropping our daughter off at Sailing camp and I am so sorry that we only planned to stay one night. The rooms were so nice and well appointed. Chilled champagne was waiting for us in our room at check in along with plenty of bottled water. The rooms are feet away from the beach with your own private patio. The food at the resort restaurant was also amazing. Whether or not you choose to stay here, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Finally the service was exceptional from every staff member.

We stayed for 4 nights in July 2022 and could not have been more pleased. The room was comfortable and beautifully furnished. Akil, the hotel manager, was always friendly and helped us book a great excursion with Hike BVI and ANYTHING else we needed. I could not ask for better customer service. The restaurant was top shelf and we cannot recommend the avocado appetizer and green curry entree enough. We were there for a quiet anniversary celebration and there were plenty of times when we felt like there was no one else there, just a perfect atmosphere. We absolutely loved it and will absolutely stay here again when we return to Tortola.

We stayed at Long Bay in mid-June of 2022. We were unaware that this is the slower season in the BVI, and everyone kept apologizing for how warm it was - the weather was cooler than our home back in the states, so it was great for us. We loved Long Bay. All of the staff, from housekeeping and maintenance to Akil meeting us late on our arrival day, were so welcoming and hospitable. The rooms were furnished wonderfully, and the convenience to the beach is unmatched. As you see in other reviews, it's a bit rocky right in front of the resort rooms, but it's a small walk to less rocky parts of the ocean. I would go back to Long Bay tomorrow if I could.

This resort is just what we were looking for. Very laid back with a very attentive staff. I loved the outdoor living room. The restaurant was good as well. Akil and Migule were amazing. Akil made all of our dinner reservations and Migule took care of everything else we needed! A bottle of Champagne was waiting in our room to help celebrate our anniversary ❤️

Long Bay Beach Resort is an exceptional hotel, from the rooms to the beach to the staff and the food. I first visited in July 2009, before the 2017 hurricane destroyed it. My husband and I returned for the first time in July 2021 and had such a fabulous experience that we came back again in late November/early December 2021. Jan, the GM, and Akil, the guest services manager, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, which included a computer monitor so my husband could work while on our trip. No hotel compares to Long Bay. You feel like you have the beach to yourself. Waking up in the morning, you walk directly from your covered and beautifully furnished patio to your high end cushioned beach chairs and sunbed. I am planning to return this July and cannot wait to enjoy the delicious mango smoothies and homemade tuna sandwiches on delicious fresh baguettes. This is a very special place. My husband and I feel comfortable staying at Long Bay to during COVID because we have enough distance from other guests to feel like we are alone.…
