We stayed at Bay of Many Coves for our 10th wedding anniversary recently. What a spot! Absolutely stunning views with facilities, service and food to match. We saw dolphins off our deck each day, enjoyed kayaking around the bays and another highlight was the degustation dinner. Loved all the little extras such as being provided with day packs and snacks when we walked some of the Queen Charlotte track.

Had an amazing day helicopter across from Wellington to Bay of Many Coves for a relaxing lunch. Food was superb, wine great and staff friendly and attentive. Stunning views and tranquil atmosphere. Have already booked to stay there in a few months time because it was so beautiful.

One of the most special things you can do is enjoy a helicopter ride from Queens Wharf and 30 minutes later land at our private pad here at the Bay of Many Coves - especially when the weather plays ball! Thank you guys for coming over and sharing our part of the world - and I do hope you daughter did well at the competitions :-)

A wonderful place for a very relaxing long weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcomed. The food was excellent, especially enjoyed the degustation, and a couple of house cocktails. Of course the location is stunning. It was awesome to just watch a huge Ray feeding on crabs by the dock. Be aware that the Cook St ferries aren't the most reliable, so you may want to make sure you're in Picton the night before you plan to transfer out to the lodge, to avoid an expensive additional water taxi (which the staff were super helpful to organise for us at short notice).

Thank you so much for your review and I delighted that you and Kylie were able to make it after initially having to cancel due to Covid-19. It is so nice to spend time with fun people and am glad that your stay met your expectations. We seem to be seeing a lot of rays at the moment - could be a pre-cursor for the arrival of the orca, but dolphins are plentiful in the bay of recent days also. Thank you again for your review and I cant wait to see you back again soon.

We loved the picturesque views, the set up, food, degustation and the spa. It is great that you have such amazing chef and good spa facilities in a remote area and of course access to the various walks. Your staff are very friendly as well. We however were very disappointed with the rooms. We paid almost 20 k for 4 nights. We are avid travels in NZ and throughout the world and have stayed in lots of 5 to 7 star properties. I believe your prices are amongst the highest at 3 k per night for Kureru room. At that price; one would expect standards like no other. I am afraid besides the view and the free mini-bar; there was not much to the room. The set up/ design of the room, the lack of appropriate / balanced heating in the room, cold bathroom room floors (lack of under floor heating ) made for a very inconvenient 4 days stay and sleepless nights!! I am very sorry but I believe you accomodation prices are enormous for the facilities you provide in the room. We have been to Wharekauhau and Stoneridge estate in Queenstown (to name a few) at lower price than yours but facilities that justify the price. We left the venues with great compliments and of course totally satisfied. I am sorry to put this in as they are your competitors but I wanted to point out that people do not mind spending the dollar if they are treated to it.

Thank you Meera for your feedback which of course we found disappointing to read, and clearly highlights that value is perceived by different people in many different ways. That said, some points do need to be clarified for the benefit of our readers. In addition to the "free minibar and views" sadly you did not mention that the rate included full breakfast and dining each day, as well as the French champagne and gourmet platter on arrival and hosted events throughout your stay - plus that the cost overall included all of your transfers - which did include helicopter transfers. It was unfortunate that the weather conditions on your arrival meant that the underfloor heating, whilst available, had not been turned on. You were however aware of the fireplace in the suite which we would have been only too happy to light for you. We regret that we were not aware of your discomfort during the unusual weather pattern that subsequently prevailed, and that ultimately caused added frustrations with your return travel - which again - we were able assist with. Readers should also be aware that rather than "a room", the Kereru Suite is a full 2 bedroom apartment with separate ensuites, and an exclusive large private deck which includes a spa, and a broad range of furnishings including recently added heating. Meera, it was a pleasure to have had you and Giuseppe stay with us and I am glad that you enjoyed the food and overall service provided by our team. I am just personally very sorry that on this occasion - your expectations were not met.

We traveled with our three kids during school holidays and had the most amazing time! The staff is really nice, the food is outstanding and the service is at an international level. We had kayaks and stand up paddles available and also enjoyed our days at the swimming pool and walking on the trails. We will definitely go back!
