Beautiful extremely well maintained hotel . The outside suits the area whilst the inside is modern . We took a simple room and it was just what we needed . There was no need to upgrade . Its located 5 minutes from Radda in Chianti . We will come back
You will waste your money if you want to book in here. Very old and neglected structure, our room was so old and dusty. The bathroom was dirty and full of limescale. The spa of the hotel is not a real spa, is not so relaxing. Due to the covid situation, they have to apply restrictions and rules. The breakfast buffet for example was completely served by one lady who was visibly struggling with the orders behind the bar even though she had to serve one person at a time. But a very bad point was the "mise en place" of the tables. There weren't many tables in the breakfast room (always due for the covid restrictions I guess) and many tables were visibly already used. That morning was pouring badly so we couldn't sit on the tables outside, and when a waiter arrived to rearrange a table for us he didn't even replace the tablecloth, he just wiped it from the crumbs of the previous guest. How this could be possible especially in this pandemic situation? The only decent part was the food of the restaurant, but not the service! Very bad! I strongly wouldn't recommend it.…
Our stay was nice! The staff was very friendly, but understaffed during breakfast time. The rooms were clean and the location was perfect. The yoga classes were amazing and a great bonus to our stay. Brenda, the yoga instructor, did an amazing job and I hope to join one of her classes again.
Really nice hotel. Set on top of a hill it offers great views of the surrounding countryside. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Plenty of charging points and they are near the bed as well. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bar staff make a great Spritz! Food is also very nice from the restaurant and there’s plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was beautiful, on a hill overlooking rolling vineyards and countryside in 360 degrees. The weather was gorgeous when we were there, and we spent most of the time out sunbathing, swimming, enjoying aperol spritzes and local wines. The restaurant was excellent for dinner (we had a Brunello that was one of the best wines I've ever tasted), breakfast was standard but good, and lunch sandwiches were nice and inexpensive. We had massages that were a little weak for my taste but it was still relaxing, and the use of the sauna and steam room was nice, and best of all we booked a romantic dinner on the private rooftop terrace which was magical. The rooms were basic but nice, and I only wish we had more time to explore nearby towns and vineyards.
