An Iconic long established Welsh country hotel, set in farmland on a headland 2 miles outside the popular sailing village of Abersoch. Now entering its 70th season, the hotel exudes old school charm & style with modern twists; lovely antique country antiques, watercolours and fresh flowers. With a continuous Good Food Guide entry since 1957, food here has always been very important. From fine dining & light suppers in the evening through to alfresco casual dining at lunch time looking out over the bay, Porth Tocyn offers so much. Families too are well catered for with a separate children's room where we lay on high teas for younger guests. The outdoor heated swimming pool(mid May to mid September) is set in lovely gardens. The Wales coastal footpath passes right in front of the hotel. The beach is just five minutes walk away. So it is great for dog walkers too.

Decided to go to the Porth Tocyn for lunch last Friday, just before the Bank Holiday weekend, mainly because it is a little bit out of the way so we thought it would be a bit quieter than in Abersoch itself (and it was) and...More
I rarely write a bad review, but this years summer holiday still has me in shock. This was our main summer holiday, we don't get much time off as a family, and I can say it has truely been ruined this year. We arrived at...More
