Hotel is on River front. I stayed in the room facing the river. Very pleasant experience. Ms Tency, manager, was very friendly and always available to help. That made our stay enjoyable. Two South Indian restaurants are located close to the hotel.
Hotel room is spacious. The balcony facing the river is special.

I visit Kochi often and this time I decided to stay here since my friends recommended this place. Regardless to say, their lake side view rooms are worth every penny ! The staffs are very down to earth and friendly. I would say even during a good monsoon season, a sitting beside the lake side view rooms can make your stay over here a pleasant one. Enjoy !

I stayed in this property for 5 nights. The location is good...but the mamagement has just changed and these guys don't know what they are doing.
I had ordered for a pizza from nearby pizza shop and given special request to be handed over on the reception ...but the pizza guy came directly to my room and the reception guy didnt even see him entering the hotel. I was quite surprised at this.
The breakfast was ok but not as per the taste buds if you are from mumbai or northern India.
Moreover is very difficult to place any order if you dont speak the local language as 90% of the staff doesn't understand English .
Would advise to spend some more money and stay in a better property .

Just 10 kms away from the business centre in Erakulam, Kochi, the "royal' town of Tripunithura for decades has suffered from one thing -- the lack of standard 2-4 star category hotels. One is forced to stay in Ernakulam even if your work takes your to Tripunithura and the industries near by -- FACT, Cochin Refinery. Now finally a few decent hotels are coming up and while I have no experience of the others, my recent stay at the Aquaria was a pleasant surprise -- convenient location overlooking the National Waterway, all the amenities one would expect from a 3-star equivalent hotel -- WiFi, tea/coffee maker, plenty of plug points, good individual air conditioning, a complementary bottle of mineral water, very clean washroom and a great view if you opt for a lake facing room. Staff are quick to respond. In room meals are not cheap -- about par for a 3 star hotel. I have just two downsides: hot water in the bathroom is not available -- but once you ring housekeeping they switch it on and it is piping hot. But I cant imagine why a hotel of this class cannot have hot water available without having to ask. The other disappointment is the primitive phone system without direct dialing. Granted most of us use mobiles but I could not get a dial tone even for a local call, I didn't bother to ask. I find the room rates quoted online are lower than the rack rate but the smart thing to do is to ring the hotel for a good rate which in off seasons seem to be even better .
Staff are friendly and

The rooms we stayed in were booked (and paid for) by someone else. All were standard double-bed rooms and upon asking, I was told that it costs around Rs. 2000 per night. Beds were comfortable, a couple of sealed bottles of water were already kept in the room. They had also kept coffee/tea/sugar but forgot to keep the electric kettle and cups for drinking them. TV had all standard Indian and English channels, and we spent a while watching Star Movies and Nat Geo.

The restaurant was small, but did make delicious breakfast. We went à la carte the first morning of our stay, but had to pick the breakfast buffet the next day (they weren't serving à la carte). Service was quite slow (limited number of waiters and cooks - this was quite obvious). However, saving grace was that all food was served right off the stove - and it was delicious! They made only dosas, poori, idlis - the standard Kerala style breakfast wasn't available.

Breakfast buffet is priced at Rs. 350 which, quite frankly, is exorbitant. Unfortunately, we didn't have too much time for a stopover on the way for breakfast, and hence ate here. Standard selection bread, dosa, pancakes, grilled tomatoes, fruits, breakfast cereal, pooris, juice, boiled eggs (only) were available. No complaints on the taste of the food.

I didn't have time to check:
- Facilities offered
- Wifi
- Lunch/dinner

They provide:
- Clean towels
- All toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and even a shaving razor with shaving cream)
- Kettle (ask for one if not present in the room)
- Coffee/Tea/Milk powder (ask if you don't see it)

The view facing the river was preferred by most of my friends - if you need one of those rooms, let them know in advance. The other side has rooms that have a balcony that opens out to the courtyard of the hotel. There were no mosquitoes. If you're interested - The restaurant just ahead of the hotel (above the Pizza place) served authentic Kerala style food where we ended up having dinner on one of the nights.

Stayed at Aquaria for 2 nights (May 2013). I recommend this place for a budget traveler looking for comforts of a business class hotel. The resort is by the riverside offering beautiful vistas of green from your balcony. You get clean rooms, clean linens and good food from the in-house restaurant. The biggest plus point is the location - it is not far from the city and is close to Veega Land, Chottanikkara Temple, Lu Lu Mall.

My wife and I stayed in Aquaria, The Boutique Resort, Kochi on 11-12 Nov 2019 and wish to share our experience. First the Strong points. The room was quite spacious with mod fittings with a beautiful balcony. The second good thing was the room was provided with an electric kettle with milk powder, coffee, tea and sugar satches as such no hassle of ordering bed tea. Now the weak points. The room doesn't have a call bell , a wall clock and was not provided with news paper like other reputed hotels do. Only two small packaged drinking water bottles were proved in the rooms on request two more small bottles were provided instead of keeping a large jug filled with drinking water.
The bathroom doesn't not have bathing stool and mug. Difficult for senior citizens to have a bath without these. Due to negligence of the night duty staff hot water was not provide for bath on 13 Nov 2019.
Breakfast served on 12 and 13 Nov 2019 was pathetic. The idlis, Puttu and samabar was ice cold. though the tea/coffee was placed in thermos flasks was cold. Crockery and cutlery was not displayed. Had to wait for empty plates. Instead of table spoons, soup spoons were provided. Even in the sugar pot a large soup spoon was placed. The used plated of the previous night were not removed from the dining tables. The waiters and room boys are untrained and they are not supervised properly.

When all these points we brought to the notice of Ms Tency, the Front Desk Officer she was just not interested to listen to us. It seems she doesn't like suggestions from the customers. And I am told that the owner of the hotel is an ex-Indian Naval Officer and we expected a very high standard from him as we too are ex-service officers we maintain high standards.

The night duty staff at the reception could only speak Malayalam and broken English and they had the audacity to wake us up in the night when we were asleep just to find out as to when we would check out the following day.

OVER ALL A POOR STANDARD. I would never ever stay in this resort.
