We sent them two reservation requests via email and their website three weeks before our trip, no response. We then called, two weeks before our trip. A man who does not speak English picks up and says there should be availability and to please send an email. We send another email, this time in Portuguese. No response. Now I finally...

We stayed here for 6 nights in August and it is just the ticket for a lovely peaceful hideaway for a week or so. Beautiful grounds and pool and lovely owners who collected us from the airport. Great breakfast served until 10.30 each day too. The rooms are on the small size for the price and could do with a...

I stopped here for three days while on a business swing through Europe to take a break from the road. This is the best place I have ever stayed, and I travel a lot. The only thing missing was my wife as it is an amazingly romantic and magical place. A 16th Century hacenda (sp?) lovingly restored. Comfortable room, charming...

We were very disappointed with this B&B. It seems to have been fitted out about 20 years ago and nothing has changed. We stayed in Limao and two incredibly squeaky old twin beds with sheets so old they were nearly transparent. Unlike the house the suites are fitted out very cheaply with furniture charity shops would reject. Cushions are worn,...

We have had many of our guest returning not only once but multiple times, therefore the review contrasts with the overall appreciation we have had since the inception of our business. Some of those returning guests did occupy the exact same “Limão” room. All you need to do is read the other reviews right here on tripadvisor. In addition, we...

We are family of four. We stayed in the Quinta for 14 days in July. The location of the Quinta is just perfect, close to Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, and they are about 10 beaches around, with one on the "TOP 10 in Europe" list. Everything is 10 to 30 minutes away by car: beaches, restaurants, castles, wineries, Lisbon Aquarium etc....

We hoped for a special place, and found something even better. Gabriela and Fernando were the warmest and most gracious of hosts. The setting is magical. The rambling home is the very image of old world beauty and charm. The rooms are beautiful and the furnishings are their equal. Our rooms were the Azenha Suite, beautifully furnished, with our windows...

A lovely old Quinta hidden away near Azoia. We stumbled across it on our honeymoon (which we had to change due to the ashcloud) and loved it. They gave us the suite in the old library, which was fantastic. The owners were lovely and full of advice for the continuation of our trip and for things to do in the...

We stayed in the Quinta for six days in early April and cannot recommend it highly enough. Gabriela and Fernando have created a wonderful farm and home for themselves and their guests, and it was a delight to enjoy their hospitality at the Quinta. The location of the Quinta is excellent, just off a fairly decent road that runs from...

This was our second visit to Quinta do Rio Touro, and I hope there will be a third before too long. Like last year, we stayed in a suite with our two small children, and it was difficult to find any faults at all. Total peace, beautiful house and perfect garden for kids, and delightful service. You could travel many...

Breathing the serra and feeling the waving ocean. .. this place has the signs of my inner Portugal, not the material one, but the portugal of the “imaginal“ (Corbin), which is very real for me. If you are looking for that kind of roots of this land you will get some answers walking to places like Sintra or the Quinta...

“The fitness center is literally the region, which is along the coast. Easy hiking although you can work up a good winding by going up some of the hills and down to the ocean along the cliffs, which I did. The room service was port and fruit when I came that was enough for my stay, plus cookies and tea/coffee and cake available downstairs.”
