This was our second time staying here in quick succession ( end of April and then May ). The hotel is in a very useful location and with a friendly welcome. The little village has another very good restaurant, as well as the excellent restaurant in the hotel, as well as a couple of bars and pizerria. Our room was excellent, very comfortable, clean and a good size with a lovely terrace. The staff at the hotel ( a lot of which are family ) are all so friendly and helpful - and there is also parking outside the hotel. They also have a small wine shop within the hotel where the owner will help you to choose some of the great local wines. Thoroughly recommended
Monteverde hotel is located in the center of Bistagno, about 15 minutes away from Acqui Terme. There is not a whole lot going on in the town itself (in term of tourism), but it is a very convenient hub for traveling to nearby wine country and to Acqui Termi for night life (concerts, dinner etc). it is great to have such a nice hotel here. The hotel is a completely renovated with large rooms, hardwood floor and modern bathrooms. The air-conditioning worked efficiently, and shower was very comfortable with high quality toiletry. The bed was comfortable, and room was quiet. The hostess was a very kind lady who cooked a nice big breakfast for the guests. All in all, it has met every expectation and is a perfect little hotel.
We checked in close to 10 pm, and still the friendly restaurant staff were willing to serve us a three course menu. We had very excellent food and wine. A nice and clean room (superiore) with balcony and view to a quite road and square. We will definitely visit this hotel again.
This hotel is situated in a lovely small village. The hotel is well designed and fresh. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast is very basic which was a shame. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and drinks in the bar. The staff were very helpful.
Spent the last few days of the year in this lovely property. Located near Acqui Terme, in a small Medieval village. The hotel only has a few rooms but is a great association of old meets modern design. We were upgraded to a larger room with a big terrace. Very clean, great service, friendly staff. We decided to have New Year’s dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Absolutely delicious with many dishes, they kindly accommodated our vegetarian needs even though the menu was set especially for the special event. Great stay! Also conveniently located 1 hour drive from the Serravalle Designers Outlets.
We stayed in one of the apartments, equipped with a small bu adequate kitchen. The rooms were simple, but nice. The bathrooms were very very good. The only drawback was that it smelled of cigarette smoke.
We have stayed at the Monteverde Hotel for our wedding and so did all our guests. We had all a fantastic time; the hotel location is perfect to visit all the most marvellous sites in the Monferrato. The Vandone's family, owner of the hotel, and Sara at reception, went above and beyond to make our wedding and our stay truly unforgettable with their attention to every detail and needs and politeness and professionalism. The rooms are spacious, extremely elegant, stylish and clean. Furnished with the greatest taste. We also booked 3 apartments and those as well are modern, elegant, clean, functional with great views from the balconies. Breakfast was "delish" and the food at the restaurant to die for. We can't wait be back! Thanks for making our special day so special!!!
We had 8 beautiful nights at Monteverde. The hotel is very beautiful. Bistagno is 1.5 hours from the Malpensa Airport, 1 hour from the Mediterranean "beach", 40 minutes from Alba, 20 minutes from Acqui Terme, ... The Relais San Maurizio ... .
We had a very lovely stay in Bistangno, the ancient generation charm can be felt and it spreads romance. The reconstruction of the hotel has been done very, very nicely. Excellent service, clean rooms, fabulous breakfast buffet, fantastic room - all in all JUST GREAT!!
I've stayed at many hotels in PIedmont and I have to say, that this little, family-owned and operated gem really surprised me. The rooms are new, design forward and and have amazingly comfortable mattresses and linens. The staff is first-rate and the breakfasts(and apertivo) far surpass many 4 and 5 stars I've stayed at. Alessandro, Sara and Gabriela are very welcoming and do their utmost to make your experience an exceptional one. Can't wait to return to Bistagno so that I can feel welcomed and experience the restaurant that is opening soon...
