Great views of the coast. You do have to cross the highway to get to the beach, but it's not a busy stretch. Bathrooms are weird... very big, with only sink and toilet, no electricity. Kind of in the middle of no where when it...More
Booked Plaskett creek as our first booking at a different camp site was cancelled due to the forest fires, I really loved the location right across from the beach and it was so nice hearing the sea at night when going to sleep and waking...More
We split our time between Plaskett and Kirk Creek. Loved both. This site is on the side of the highway away from the beach. Lots of shade, potable water, and flush toilets. A lot of families seem to come here, but there is plenty of...More

I showed up 10pm on Memorial Day weekend and sweet talked a spot to park the juicy camper van. Score! Great spot to camp with kids. It has a nice beach across the street for the central California coast for fishing or surfing.
What is the earliest you have to be at this campground to get a spot? I am driving from 6 hours away solo and I would really love to stay here for a night or two but reservations are booked.

Earlier is better. But I have crashed there twice with no reservations. I go with the sad I didn't know, and I have no where else to go else approach. Towards the front of the campground often they can group campers together. Or you could always just ask campers if would be ok If you camped near them. If you have good hygiene and nice personality you will be in like flynn. Salesman-ship it's whats for dinner.

"Site #12 works for larger RV's. Will handle 40 foot motorhome or 30 foot truck/trailer."
