Such a lovely little forest setting. Our cabin was one of the quaintest things I've ever seen, and the bed was comfortable. I had one hell of a good night's sleep. We were only there for one night so really didn't get to make the most of it, but I loved that groups/families were out in their PJs at the... More

We booked a single night at this campground in Big Sur while we had already been on the road for 2 weeks. After leaving San Francisco we drove down highway 1. We didn't really know what to expect, as we've seen a lot of great places along the way, but this campground was amazing. Right on Highway 1, but you'll... More

There's so many better options to camp at in big sir than this place. Staff was the rudest I've ever encountered, grounds are shady with a chicken wire fence separating it from a group camp ground next door. Plus they have a ton of hidden charges. Our experience was extremely disappointing!

We took a risk and went to Big Sur without reservations on a holiday weekend hoping to get a walk-up spot and found this place very welcoming. We had to move sites, but thanks to the awesome staff we managed to stay two nights with one night right on the river and another buried in the woods. The sites are... More

This is a lovely wooded campsite and you cross the river to get to it so it is pretty special. Jhae, who had booked us in was on duty and gave us a super spot to pull in right by the river. The place is under great demand so I strongly recommend that if you want to stay you book... More

We were scheduled to stay 2 nights and extended our stay. The Staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. It is great for pets and children. Waking up to the sound of the river is something I will never forget. The bathrooms are very clean. Our tent area was spacious. It's also a great place if you are into hammock camping.... More

We stayed in 2 of the cabins, no.9 and the studio for one night. Easy to find, very clean. Nice to sit outside round fire. Site is well kept with lots of trees. Staff were friendly. Small shop on site.

Ok... so let's start with the good!! This site is fantastic!! The river that runs through the grounds is small, but beautiful! (No fishing) you camp in the redwood trees!! The air is so clean and fresh!! The hostess was very helpful and knowledgeable! There is a store on site... $10 minimum debt card, so take cash or be ready... More

We spent 2 nights in a cabin room. Rooms are small, but clean, comfortable and neat. Staff was helpful, we had a hot water outage, they quickly fixed and refunded a portion of the room charge. The shared deck is a bit sparse and the walls between rooms very thin, especially when it is otherwise so quiet in the woods.

We booked several months in advance for a cabin with a private bathroom. We booked online and received a confirmation regarding our room. After the initial call, we called back and altered the reservation, shortening it by one night. One thing to remember about Hwy1 is that the cell phone service is "spotty" at best. Apparently, as we were completely... More
