Found this hostelry on the last night of a fishing trip with friends. Great bar service, great beers and really good staff. There were seven of us eating and lo agreed the food was exceptional. I had fish and chips and they were extremely nice. I would definitely visit again.

Off the beaten track yet convenient for the Wye valley walk. Room modern decoration yet with original features Good breakfast and evening menu. I am getting fed up with this trip adviser requirement for at least 200 words report. Will stop giving reports if it continues

My Husband and I booked here several weeks ago so that we could meet up with some family halfway from our respective homes. At the time of the booking we requested a groundfloor room for myself as I am disabled and unable to climb stairs. However, when we arrived I was told my room had been let a couple of...

We popped in for lunch before visiting Goodrich Castle, and we are very glad we did! Very cosy dining area with a great selection of local beers and ciders at the bar and perhaps one of the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. The staff were very helpful and friendly with every customer that came in, and the pub...

Wanting to stop close to where mysel, hubby and son had been canoeing for the day, we stopped here. Delightful bar with really friendly staff more than happy to help with my son's meal request. The inside was very pretty, spacious but we went outside into the really lovely beer garden. This was extremely well kept, with a nice play...

This little hotel is charming! Great staff that know the true value of customer service. Special mention for GM who worked exceptionally hard to ensure all guests and diners were looked after. The evening menu was varied and the food was great, so well done to the chef also. We stayed there with our dog and would confirm previous comments...

My Hubbie, myself and dog stayed here over the weekend and had a great time. The room was clean, amenities were just right and the hotel is totally dog friendly. Gini our pooch enjoyed the dog treats on the bar as much as we did the excellent food and wine. Locally sourced food served with outstanding customer service. Well above...

We stopped overnight on our return journey to further sample the Wye Valley & take in Goodrich Castle. Was thrilled with original Gothic design, an architectural gem & associated with Goodrich Estate. Ample off road parking & with fine weather really enjoyed the lovely spacious beer garden with many local families. Made the fine Wye Valley Butty Bach light Summer...

Staff really friendly and helpful here. The room had tea and coffee and was nicely decorated and comfortable. For the price really good. Breakfast was fine and evening meal really lovely - I liked the effort to get locally sourced food.
