We loved our short stay at Pear Tree Inn and wished it was longer. The room was beautiful with so much detail and the restaurant too was exquisite. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom amenities were super. The room was clean as was the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant are very helpful. We will surely be back.

We have just spent 2 days with friends at The Pear Tree Inn in Whitley. I would not hesitate to recommend this Inn for a stay. It is ideally placed to visit such places as Lacock, Bradford on Avon & Castle Combe. The rooms are excellent if maybe a little on the small side & all the staff are friendly...

We booked 3 garden rooms for my self, my mother and my sister to help her celebrate her 98th birthday. As my mother has considerable mobility problems, I discussed her needs on the phone before booking. I was not disappointed. The room provided for her, Seckle, was easily accessed on level ground and was only a few yards from the...

Great accommodation, good friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the bar. The rooms are very nicely decorated and great provisions are in the room regarding drinks facilities, sweets, biscuits and fantastic toiletries to use. Also free parking in a well lit car park out the front. Breakfast is lovely, there is a variety of things to choose from and staff...

We stayed for 3 nights and eat in the restaurant each night too. Our room was ground floor outside of the main building. The best bits: friendly welcoming staff, excellent well priced food. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The not so good bits: Our room was ground floor and without the curtain to the French doors closed we had...

One visit will not be enough. This is a beautiful, characterful old inn with stunning food selection and welcoming staff. The family room was stylish but cosy with a lovely hidden away den for our 6 year old to sleep. The gardens were gorgeous too, and the fairy lit courtyard a very pretty feature. We loved our stay and can't...

We stayed one night and had dinner in the restaurant. The hotel itself was refurbished around a year ago and manages to be bright and contemporary while retaining the charm of the original building. Our room was lovely and absolute bargain at £95, discounted for a Sunday. It comes with a bright modern bathroom and great tea and coffee making...

We really enjoyed our one night stop over, the bar, restaurant and bedroom were all very clean, cosy and stylish. The menu was varied and our meal was very good, if a little slow. The Pear Tree is a great example of a country pub sympathetically renovated.
