Really enjoyed a random lunch stop off, the platter we had was great although the bread was slightly stale, but that did not put us off. Very clean and tidy, and good service and atmosphere, would probably visit again.

We went to watch a comedy night for the second time here but this time ate first. All food excellent - plaice, burgers, cheesecake, brownies. The evening was very well organised with our drinks and dessert pr-ordered for the break. The environment is cosy and comfortable and the staff welcoming and efficient. Lovely evening.

Very welcoming hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom was well equipped with real coffee, nice toiletries, good showers and comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfasts were excellent. Decor was good and so were the gardens.

Came for 2 nights in January, very well received at reception, nice room, well furnished and true to the spirit of a real Inn. To me very British (in the best sense of the word (!)) so you feel well straight away. The one breakfast I had was excellent. Staff was nice and friendly, but at 125 pounds a night...

Dear Christian S, Thank you kindly for your feedback following staying at our 17th century Inn, The Pear Tree late last week. I'm glad that you enjoyed the majority of your stay. Unfortunately, with a building that is so old, we're talking 300 years old, making adjustments like you've suggested is not always possible. I would like to point out...

Stayed here as my sister was having her 70 th birthday bash, they organised a set menu for us, as there was 23 of us, the food was superb, could not fault it at all. The staff were friendly, helpful eager to please and service could not be faulted. Stayed in tosca room, had everything that was required, fresh milk,...

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family. Room was beautifully decorated with great detail to the small touches like cafetiere coffee and lovely toiletries. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were delicious! We were disappointed not to be staying longer. A wonderful short stay and we will definitely be back.

We visited The Pear Tree Inn to see in 2017 and stayed 2 nights. The place is gorgeous- just perfect, with super friendly staff and fab food. Our bedroom was spacious yet cosy with a lovely bathroom well stocked with delicious smelling products. The cafetière coffee, variety of teas and copious amounts of fresh milk and cubed sugar were fantastic...

A lovely two day stay on the way home to Warwickshire, after Christmas with family in Ilfracombe. Clean, tidy room with superb walk-in shower/wet room - and pampering products. Very comfortable bed, quilt and armchair. Pub cosy, friendly and atmospheric. Good varied menu - including succulent steaks. Breakfast superb and fulsome - not quite sure about the marmalade sausages though...

We were given a 2 day break by our 3 daughters because they were all going to be out of the country over the Christmas period. It features worn wooden tables with mismatched furniture and linen napkins. The Pear Tree Inn will showcase the best local suppliers with a menu guided by the seasons.
