An overnight stay and evening meal was booked as a special treat for the start of our week’s holiday in the Peak District. Special it was!! The staff are amazing, so professional, helpful and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The bathroom has just the best shower!! We had booked a table for dinner to ensure we had the full Peak Edge experience and we would highly recommend eating here.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting family locally. Everything was perfect - the warm welcome from Abigail on the front desk, good sized room with view over the garden and a delicious meal in the restaurant. The attention to detail in each dish was first class - I really enjoyed the scallops, halibut and honey parfait. Great service from all the waiting staff (evening of Tuesday 27/2). The bar area is divided into lots of nooks which made lovely, cosy areas so have a pre-dinner cocktail. Good location for visiting the Peak District. Will return!

We booked for a night's stay for our birthday, the room was beautiful, spacious and comfy. The food was out of this world, staff were amazing and attentive. Not our first stay, and definitely not the last.

Upgraded to the Haddon Suite on arrival, which was a lovely spacious room, really beautiful with its own private garden and lovely bathroom. Service was excellent and the dining experience and food superb. Had a wonderful stay and will definitely return and I am already recommending others to visit. Thank you for a special break.

This was our first visit to the Peak Edge Hotel, which was chosen as it is roughly half-way between us and some friends with whom we wanted to spend a weekend. Our requirements were straightforward: a comfortable hotel which could cope with my wife’s mobility needs, in an attractive area and with a good restaurant either in the hotel or nearby. The Peak Edge seemed ideal as it is close to the beautiful Peak District - an area of the country we haven’t previously explored, they had an accessible room available for the nights we wanted, and there seemed to be a nice restaurant on site. The room price was very reasonable too, so we all went ahead and booked for two nights. As soon as we arrived we realised we’d made a very good choice. The immediate impression of the hotel was very positive - attractive and stylish. The reception staff were very helpful from the moment we parked - going out of their way to help with the door from the car park, with luggage, etc.. Our room (their accessible room, no 201) was on the first floor but there is a lift so this was fine. The room itself was amazing. It’s enormous, with a kingsize bed and a separate sitting area with a sofa and armchairs. The accessible bathroom was also big and had an excellent large wet-room shower with built in seat and handrails etc. (though a little shelf for shower gel, shampoo etc. would have been helpful). In the entrance area of the room was plenty of clothes-hanging space and some shelves, and an alcove equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker as well as a kettle and a supply of coffee capsules, posh teabags, etc. - all very nice indeed. The windows of the room were relatively small and high and looked out onto what looked like a small artificial lake with ornamental foot bridge, etc.. In February it was dull and wet out, so the view wasn’t important to us but perhaps in the summer it would’ve been nice to see more from the room. But the room itself really was lovely - beautifully furnished and well-maintained - and we both found the bed and pillows exceptionally comfortable. The hotel’s Red Lion Restaurant may sound like a pub but isn’t - it’s a very nice restaurant and all the food we had (breakfasts, dinners and one lunch) were excellent. It is expensive, so what you save on the hotel you end up spending in the restaurant but the standards were very high - both the food quality and the service. Adjacent to the restaurant are some very nice lounge/bar areas, with a variety of sofas etc., with an open log fire, wood burning stoves etc., creating a very attractive area to relax with a drink before dinner. Overall then, we were very impressed with just about everything about the Peak Edge Hotel and will certainly return in the future.

Everything was excellent, grounds were lovely, food and service were very good, room very comfortable. Only criticism would be the price was very high, but you do get good quality for it. We were there for a wedding, so the location was convienient.

Very big welcoming from the staff, after a very long drive in some of the worse snow I have seen for years, could not faulty our stay and the food and service from all the staff was a credit to the Hotel.
