I stay here most weeks for work. Staff are excellent, breakfast is the usual full English/continental buffet but the chefs will cook something up on request if they can accommodate. Location is great - away from the busy city centre, but close to a tram stop to get you in and out. Can be busy when Manchester United play at home due to the few hundred metre distance to Old Trafford, or if Cricket is on. But even when busy, the corridors are silent. I hear very little movement outside my room. And if you’re luck y enough to get a pitch view room, there’s a balcony to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. My number 1 pick in Mancheste area

Felt very let down this time. Arrived a little before checkin time (pre-requested early checkin via email) and fully aware that checking is 3pm as we wanted to enjoy the cricket from the room. Was told the room was not ready and would get a text. We waited some time and had ask again to be told the room was ready. Other then this the hotel was clean and room was nice. Room service was excellent and my wife very much the curry.

As we had a football match the day prior with a full hotel this did prove difficult to fulfil on the day with other guests also arriving from 8:30am onwards. nice hotel right next to the cricket ground. It is expensive for a room facing the ground otherwise all the other rooms are same. Do not request a room next to the lift you can hear everything that goes on every going and coming!! breakfast is ok, not much variety. parking is a pain on occasions as you have to activate the gate which can take time. Construction is going on so be aware there is noise inside and out with limited parking. Some friendly staff around always happy to help!!

Malcom and Abid really know how to make a guest feel welcome and comfortable through out my stays. The breakfast was amazing, I enjoyed the coffee and the hash browns. The best yet was the morning staff (I mean the whole team) was very friendly and sociable/approachable. This has been the best stay since I started staying in hotels for the experience. thus far, I have not been disappointed.

Had to be moved 3 times due to noisy neighbours. No help was offered with luggage/repacking. Initially the staff lied and said they were fully booked and could not move us, we had to check on line and confront their lies..... not a good look on the hotel. The lamp was missing so I could not work as intended on the desk and despite reporting the missing TV remote, it was not replaced so we could not watch TV in the morning. The vegetarian sausage was made of a vegetable and brocolli mush - stomach turning at that time of morning and I am sure unpopular and disliked by most vegetarians. All other Hiltons offer a proper quorn based sausage. So, it feels as if this hotel is very cheap and penny pinching and does not really put customers needs first.

If you’re staying in Manchester this is a great location just out of the centre but close to the tram and Salford Quays. Great amenities and wonderful rooms. Ours overlooked the cricket ground. Incredible!

Great hotel in the cricket ground. Very modern and good facilities. Beds are a bit hard and the tea / coffee machine in the breakfast area is a log jam but generally very nice place to stay. Some nice cricket memorabilia around the building
