This was our second stay. Matthew the reception Manager was most helpful and welcoming as were all the staff.
We did not want the hussle and bussle of the city and this hotel is 5 minutes out on the tram which is only 200 yards away from, hotel. So we got the best of both worlds It is in a pleasant area, handy for MUFC. Room comfy and spacious. The pitch facing rooms are worth the little extra. Great breakfast served by Steve who really is a cricket pro moonlighting out of season. Just joking! We will stay again. Great value and attention to detail with lots of little touches that city hotels often lack.

Stayed for one night when in the area for work - selected it for location and the fact that it had a large car park as I knew I'd be arriving late. Plenty of parking available you get a ticket as you enter and the hotel validate it for you so it's free.

Check in was quick and the staff member was very polite and helpful. Room was a good size and shower huge. It's all quite new and thus felt in very good condition. Room nice and quiet and I was able to get a good night's sleep. There is a 24 hour gym and laundry but I can't comment on these as I didn't use them.

Breakfast was fabulous there was everything you could want including the full English cooked breakfast buffet style and a waffle maker. Staff once again great all smiling and helpful

Will certainly use again if I'm in the area...

If you like the cricket you can pay a little extra for a room facing the pitch - for Man Utd fans other rooms like mine had a view of the football ground

I stay in Hotels about 3-5 times each week, and in Manchester often. There are many lovely hotels in the Centre, but often very expensive at peak times. This Hotel is a hidden gem. I am not a fan of what the American concept hotel, often they lack soul, but I have to say I am converted totally.
I have stayed here 8 times since September and every single time the place has been spotless. Always friendly greeting you. Free car parking. And the hotel is attached to the Lancashire Cricket Ground or Emirates as it is now called. I am not a fan of cricket but many rooms overlook the pitch and have balconies. Very clean airy rooms, quality beds. Some of the best room service food I have eaten in a long time (I highly recommend the chicken - trust me ).
What is really helpful is there is a secure onsite guest laundry which has a large commercial washing machine and a separate dryer. If you don't have washing tabs with you you can buy them at reception for £1 each. So handy when you travel as much as I do. And....whilst all the staff have been exceptional, I must mention Sahim who helped me this evening on the front desk. Assisted me with logging on the Hilton Honors app, couldn't be more helpful. And after a long drive from Edinburgh, so friendly, bubbly and nothing was too much trouble. Not had Customer Service like tonight, in many years to be honest. It's often the little things that are overlooked and when you spend so much time travelling on your own as I, a friendly face and bubbly personality can change your whole day for the better. Hilton, I applaud you.
Oh, and....
your about 8 mins away from Manchester Centre in a cab. Manchester United Ground is literally a five min walk away, and also the superb and reliable Metrolink Tram service is a few mins walk if that which can take you straight into Manchester or the local Salford Quays, or the other way to local Altrincham and Hale where there are some great places to eat.
A great find, cheaper than many hotels of a lower standard in central Manchester, free parking and a great nights sleep.

Like the reviewer before: I stayed one night whilst on business. As a Hilton Gold member, my reservation was also upgraded to a top floor room (510) overlooking the cricket ground. My AC system also struggled to warm the room but I had a comfortable nights sleep.
The hotel has recently been refurbished and the room size way excellent. Bathroom was a little tight, but perfect for a single occupant.
Dinner in the bar was just fine, but breakfast was disappointing. by 9,30am the buffet was tired looking with many items unstocked. The breakfast staff has very unhelpful attitude and my review rating dropped a star immediately.
A mistake by the reception staff lead to an overpayment which took some time to correct. Happy with my find, and although the carpark spaces were a little tight for my vehicle, it was barrier secure and free of charge.

Staying for 4 nights, we had an a good all round experience of this hotel. The location was perfect for travelling into and out of Central Manchester, and in addition, it was 2 minute walk away from the Old Trafford stadium. The tram was a matter of 1 minute walk and Trafford Centre was a 12 minute drive. However this location was overshadowed by the poor quality of the breakfast, which I PAYED additional fees for. I payed an extra £30 for a cold full English breakfast which took over 1hr to be delivered, and if specific were asked for, they were more than likely wrong. This was disappointing as the attitude and personality of the staff members was great, friendly and overall happy. And the bed for the room was, awful. The best way to describe it was like sleeping on a giant plank of wood, dressed up in clothes and pillows. For sleeping for 4 nights, you could just say it was unacceptable. I attempted to make a complaint at the end of the trip, I thought it would be best to do so, but they continuously blamed it on the new Covid Rules, but if I’m honest, they should have prepared for this prior to the rules being released. Overall, if you are looking to stay for 1 night, then yes this could be good place to stay, but any longer I would highly suggest otherwise....

Thank you ElliotBird for your review and comments. I am happy to hear that the majority of your stay was good with us. I am disappointed to hear about your issues with the breakfast and the beds. I have passed on your comments to the Head Chef to review. Our beds are part of our Brand, so if you are returning to us in the future please let us know as we can potentially add a mattress topper to the bed or add another duvet to cushion for you. Either way we hope you do return to us in the future. Kind regards Matthew Porter Deputy Hotel Manager

I stayed here around 6 months for work and can’t recommend this place enough. I had a room with a balcony overlooking the cricket pitch which was lovely and the rooms were of a high spec.
There was a great selection of choice at breakfast and plenty of restaurants within a short driving distance from the hotel.
The thing that makes this hotel stand out the most are the staff. From the minute I walked through the door I was greeted as if I was an old friend. Nathan was the main person that dealt with my bookings and always made sure I was in my preferred room and ensured I had everything I needed.
All the staff from front desk, the restaurant, bar staff and everyone else, would go out of their way to make sure you were having the best stay and nothing was too much effort for them; everyone was so friendly.
On my final night at this hotel I was gifted with a lovely surprise of snacks and drinks bought to my room (picture attached).
Thank you for a wonderful stay Malcolm, Nathan, Matt, Pete, Claire, Rebecca, Faraz, Emanuel, Abid, Olu plus everyone else! (There are lots of names I can’t remember)

The staff were very attentive at Reception, in the Bar and Restaurant, Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff, thank you. Rooms are good size with large flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi so I could log into my laptop anytime of the day.

When in Manchester again this will be my number one location to stay with fantastic connection via the Metrolick (Tram) into the city centre every 12 minutes.

Between us we've been going to watch Lancashire and England on and off at Old Trafford for almost 40 years so the opportunity to stay in the hotel at the ground was too good to miss.

To be honest we don't often stay in hotels because of the cost but we got a good deal after buying last season's Lancashire T20 shirt which made it more affordable. We stayed one night in a room overlooking the pitch, which cost us an extra £24 but it had to be done.

Check in is early (3pm) and check out is late (12pm), there was no cricket match on the day we arrived but Lancashire trained on the pitch in the morning. The late check out time also gave us the chance to have a little walk up Sir Matt Busby Way to another of my old sporting haunts, Old Trafford football ground, home of Manchester United.

It was the evening that England played Germany in the Euros so there was a bit of a buzz in the bar and restaurant area and we decided to stay at the hotel and have our evening meal there, it was around £15 each for a main course of chicken burger, chips, onion rings and salad. Excellent, friendly table service.

All of the hotel staff were lovely and helpful, I think our inexperience of hotels was clear as soon as we arrived but Sara on reception was so helpful and made us feel very much at home.

We can't fault the hotel in any way. It is clean, very well run, friendly, comfortable, everyone adhered to all social distancing and face covering regulations, the pitch view was amazing and there's plenty of relevant and local art work and pictures on the walls, photos of Lancashire cricket greats, Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester concert etc.

We will definitely be going to stay here again even though we only live half an hour away as it's a bit of luxury and a very relevant place to stay for us.

Thanks to all the staff for a lovely experience.

We stayed there from 25 Dec till 29 Dec on level 5, with the cricket ground view , and the atmosphere / views were awesome especially in the morning.
We watched Manchester vs Newcastle United on 26 Dec.
Room was cleaned all the days that we stayed. Good job Housekeeping Team!
Staff are all friendly. We do hope the hotel could provide some Halal meat for breakfast for the Muslim Travelers. Walking to Old Trafford Stadium was only about 7 to 8 mins walk, and if you are a MAN U fan, this hotel suits you. Tesco supermarket was just 6mins walk and the TRAM station was just behind the hotel. Would love to be back to this hotel again.
