When you arrive at Costeño you are given a wristband. Sort of like a dog collar, it's got an I.D. on it - your account number. Costeño is a big commercial set-up with dozens of beds. Like any successful commercial hostel they know the formula to keep the young and liberal happy - yoga, live music, quirky café with tattooed...

It's a beautiful hostel, the dorms have no walls but the mosquito nets are good. It's surrounded by palmtrees and hammocks. They have a little workout space too. The food is expensive and you only have one item on the menu at night. You can go to Brisa Tranquilla, a few minutes further. They have a menu and it's a...

I intended to stay two nights, I ended up staying five. What a nice hostel, amazing food and located directly on the beach. Good for some surfing, beachvolley, or just chilling. You can sign up for food three times a day and everytime has been amazing. Recommended!!

We went to this place hoping to learn how to surf. First of all, we was unlucky with the weather, which caused huge waves which is not optimal for beginners. But that was not the worst part. The guy who was supposed to learn us how to surf took forever when explaining the theoretic parts. This meant that we had...

We stayed in a private bungalow for a night recently. Right from check in to when we left, the staff were great. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced too. As is the beer! The best value we had all along the Caribbean coast. Lunch and dinner is served family style which is great for meeting people also staying...

We stayed here with a group of friends after the lost city hike. The beach is amazing with palm trees and hammocks to chill in. The food is served in certain hours. Therefore it's a good atmosphere because everyone eats at the same time. The downside is that you must eat when it's time and not when you're hungry. We...

I gave it 5 as i can't complain about anything. The bar and restaurant were well priced (1USD for a beer). Right on a great beach, where you can do volleyball, yoga or messages. I stayed in the dorm which had good beds, mosquito nets and secure lockers. Plenty of toilets and showers about the place, so no queueing. I...

Great vibe and wonderful for relaxing. Staff was helpful and the food was delicious. Rooms were clean and comfortable. My only suggestion is more chairs and hammocks out front. When the place is at full capacity with guests, there is a distinct shortage.
