Stayed at this hotel, with my daughter in law, & granddaughter, + my sister & her daughter for a 3 night stay, this hotel has been brought out by Celtic Manor, & unfortunately is being refub , we were asked on arrival if we would like to upgrade our rooms, which we did do when we had looked in the...

Hotel ok but food and drink a little expensive with a bottle of house red at £31.00 . Pool was cold and steam room out of order. Ok but nothing special . Parking charged as an extra at £5 which is just an excuse to squeeze more money from you .

Convenient location, ideal for a business meeting or a family break. Near to M4 / M50 (Coldra). Food good. Free Wifi & Car Park (3 Hrs). Facilities have been upgraded since being taken over by Celtic Manor.

Stayed here for a couple of nights this weekend. Even though the work is still being done to refurbish the rooms I can't help but think this is going to be very similar to other 'chain' hotels. Why can't hotels stock a decent beer - the 'Smooth' was virtually undrinkable! Breakfast is in a temporary room but even taking into...

I don't normally write reviews but after I had booked my room I read down some of the reviews for the hotel and was worried that I had mad a mistake bit I hadn't and want to tell the truth about this hotel. I drove late from London so phoned ahead to say I was running late for my dinner...

This hotel apparently used to be a Hilton. It was bought by Celtic Manor and refurbishment started about seven months ago. It is very much a work in progress. Some of the rooms are as they were - tired, last decorated about twenty years ago according to the staff. We decided to pay the extra £20 a night for a...

Stayed here for one night in a Coldra court room bed and breakfast in December. Checked in confirmed a double and a twin room required as per booking. But was given a double room when we had requested a twin room. (Like seconds ago. ) So we moved rooms. The second room was freezing cold so cold we couldn't take...

Had a business meeting, day only no overnight stay, superficial refurb following change of ownership but nothing great. Wouldn't hurry back, plenty of alternative choices locally. Food OK, but again nothing special and a long wait given limited guests own the bar area.

My wife and I met our friends there for an evening meal. I found the food very pricey, partly cold and tasteless. My wife had garlic mushrooms to start, which was cold. We both had Thai veg green curry which was more like milky dish water than curry. I had the banana bread for afters, which came with ice cream...

Regarding the restaurant: The staff is nice but the level of service is not good. They were standing behind the desk and did not come to ask if everything was ok, if we wanted something more. We had to wait for 1 hour for a small portion of peas to our son. They did not even come when we stood...
