My friend and I have attended Spas around the UK and Europe. I have been to Stoke Spa before and had a pleasant time. This time we choose the Twilight Spa and for £35 for use of sauna, hot tub, steam room(this was broken) and pool and £65 for full body massage I have to say it was a really bad experience from start to finish. The reception staff were not informed and lacked professionalism. The changing rooms were untidy wet towels spilling everywhere. No robes or slippers in lockers had to request these. The drink glasses and food we had on arrival the glasses and packets were still on the table when we went into reception some 90 minutes later! On a good note my therapist was very good and body massage excellent and went through the client card thoroughly. My friends however no client card referred to, asked about medication and the therapist just said OK, proceeded to inform her that she had been doing massages all-day and she was the last. The massage was inadequate as though going through the motions. No glass of water at the end. For a spa this is not good enough it is not cheap to go to these places and escape the least they could do is give a good service and take care. I did complain in an email surprisingly enough no acknowledgement or reply that about sums this place up. You get what you pay for they say............well don't bother with this one it is not worth it.

I've just enjoyed the best night away at Stoke by Nayland Hotel Golf & Spa as part of their special Dinner, Bed & Breakfast deal, which included full use of the spa. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. A wedding was taking place when we were there, so we were treated to fireworks during our meal in the delightful restaurant overlooking the golf course. The Christmas decorations added to the magical atmosphere. It really was far better than expected and the perfect break from our busy lives. The staff are gems and so kind and thoughtful. It was great fun, so comfortable and welcoming. I can't wait to do it again! Brilliant place.

We booked Stoke by Nayland Hotel and spa for two nights to attend a ball and play golf. When we arrived we went to check in and was met by a very rude lady called Rachael. Not a great start and such a bad front of house for the hotel. We the went to our room. It was very out dated. A bit like a bad premier inn. We went to the spa. Had to pay £40 deposit for two ropes. When we got in there it was also run down. The steam room wasn’t working and wet towels all over the beds. When we went to pay the bill £340 for the two nights it turns out every one in our party had been charged different prices ranging from £210 to £400. All in all a really poor hotel. The only good thing was Rob the bar man who was lovely and run us into town. The place is in a beautiful setting and the golf courses are beautiful. We played on the Saturday. Such a shame. It could be so much more. When I asked to speak to the manager about the bill I was told he would ring me back. He never did.

A lovely Spa Break and a rare Mum/Daughter night away. The beds were super comfy the Christmas lights and decorations made the atmosphere even better. The Neom Spa Experience was all lovely. Food in the Lakes restaurant was really good. Staff attentive and prices very reasonable for a Hotel. Overall a relaxing break and fantastic to spend some quality time with my grown up baby!
