Lovely traditional family home opened up as a B&B. Traditionally decorated in keeping with the building. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Free upgrade was a nice touch. Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast with fantastic choices and options for gluten free.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel exceedingly welcome with a cup of tea and delicious homemade cake. The owners made recommendations on places to eat locally and offered to make the reservations should we have required them. The room was huge and nicely furnished with a sitting area and a kitchen with lots of special touches...

We have just spent a lovely 2 days at Wold Cottage, where we celebrated my husbands "special" birthday, having a party on the Saturday evening. It was perfection, family and friends stayed the night in the amazing rooms and cottages. We certainly enjoyed The Granary with the hot tub. Derek & Katrina couldn't be more helpful, from the welcome, to...

So glad you enjoyed your short break in Yorkshire & enjoyed our area, you had a full itinerary for such a short time but liked your planning of taking the train from Kings Cross & hiring a car from York. Look forward to welcoming you again in the spring & we will have lambs! Happy Christmas
