Third or fourth time here and we’ve never been disappointed. Six of us were booked for lunch via the Travel Zoo offer on Saturday 2nd October. Everything was great, from Prosecco and Canapés in the lovely lounge through to a full three course lunch and coffee/tea. There was a good length of time between courses allowing us to chat and share together after a long time. We were there for three and a half hours and never felt pressured to move on. Staff were brilliant, attentive, but not intrusive, friendly, and remembered who was having what dish, and we were very well looked after. Thank you all so much for a memorable afternoon.
This is a proper old school country hotel! Beautiful buildings, gardens and a golf course next door. Difficult to criticise anything as it’s spotlessly clean with beautiful rooms, great bar and friendly staff. My room was ‘Manon’ which was stunning. It also served up the best breakfast I’ve had since Bewleys in Dublin. Spot on.
Hintlesham Hall is is a beautiful hotel which lies in large manicured grounds in deepest Suffolk. The property is truly "classic", with spacious public rooms, large unique bedrooms, with antique, period furniture. The house is adorned with period paintings everywhere, making it truly different from most hotels. The staff were extremely attentive, and friendly. We stayed 3 nights with a large group on a Dinner, B & B basis. The food was of the highest quality, and the dining service excellent. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
On arrival the Hall looks very impressive, parking was easy and as we have just acquired an electric car was pleased to find 3 charging points at the hotel. Checking in was good and we were shown to our rooms, we went as a family of 6 so was a bit disappointed that we were spread out across the hotel as we do like to pop in on each other’s rooms often. Our Room was very impressive very large big windows and a mezzanine floor with the bed and wardrobe area, good to see an ironing board too. I would have liked a mini bar fridge though as the room was quite warm so chilled drinks would have been nice, and also if diabetic you would need to keep you insulin in a fridge so was surprised to see a hotel of this standard with no mini bar also lots of choice or teas available but not much milk to use and only one hot chocolate sachet and just two English breakfast teas which are always the most popular and first to be used so could do with more in the room. The staff were very helpful, the spa area adequate, treatments were ok as part of the package and nice to have a jacuzzi in the courtyard but it wouldn’t be classed as a spa hotel if that’s your thing as way to small to accommodate many people. WiFi was really hit and miss which at times was frustrating as in our room neither of the TVs worked and although the staff tried to get it sorted, having just one night there wasn’t worth it. The quality of the food was excellent at Dinner lunch and breakfast staff attentive but not intrusive had a good vegetarian and vegan option too if needed. Overall it was a good stay beautiful surroundings not much to do, Golf was very good according to my husband and son in laws, but a bit more attention to detail in the rooms is needed as its not all about the decor and for the cost of the room for a night, over £300 it should have been better.…
My partner booked this hotel as a surprise for my birthday, the surroundings are beautiful, the staff really friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, the food delicious, if you wanted to you could find a quiet corner as there were plenty of communal rooms to choose from. Although we didn’t have afternoon tea, it looked delicious. I had a couple of very nice treatments in the spa. I would definitely like to go back again and would recommend this for a nice quiet get away. Thank you Hintlesham Hall for making our stay so special.
