Comfort big bed and room
Love the bathroom and the shower..
Love all the facilities in the room.
But bit disappointed cos still dont have the freezer in the room.
eventhough they rised up the price now.
not the standard of the 4⭐ rate hotel and the price u pay.
it was a compulsary espiacially for family with baby/kid or you stay in fasting month
the breakfast not worth it for the price u pay...
Hope the management take further action.

it was a great and comfortable stay as the room was cosy and suitably furnished. the only gripe would be the complimentary buffet breakfast. imagine eating toast bread with no butter? they only provide the jam which not everybody might like. the choices of menu was skimpy with only one or two choices ( to be fair, it was during the fasting month but i still feel hotel guests should be suitably feted, nothing too lavish but just enough).

Bandar Muadzam Shah is located some midway between Kuantan and Segamat – a distance of approximately 190km. Since this is the only major town along this route, most express buses plying along this road will stop over at the rest area.

The town itself is relatively small, although new township ie the satellite town is being developed and is already opening up. This town is an education hub for southern State of Pahang – there are a few secondary boarding schools, polytechnics and even a university campus. So I suppose, this is the market that this hotel is aiming for – the parents of the students.

The hotel is probably, the tallest building in this town. It is quiet modern and neat – it was built about 2 years ago, so still very new. The hotel ground floor is also attached to a supermarket, belonging to a famous chain of supermarkets. It is therefore convenient for the guests to buy items, if required. Behind the hotel, there is a local bank and a few restaurants, shops and more supermarkets.

The hotel is modern concept with huge glass at the front of the lobby area. Although the lobby is simple, it has a very high ceiling. The combination of the glass and high ceiling provides light and feeling of spacious and airy. Although the glass attracts heat, especially in the afternoon, the aircond at the lobby is very cool.

The room, again, has a touch of modern concept. It is clean and spacious with mounted LED TV with some Astro channels, coffee and tea making facility, wifi connection for every floor. However, there is no refrigerator, which is a bit disappointing. The room has tile flooring with high ceiling as well. The toilet comes with bathtub and shower room – I like the shower head which is high into the ceiling and water pressure was good as well. The hotel also provides toiletries, which is useful for guests who stay over for 1 night or 2 only. The towels have fresh smell to it; the bed is nice and firm …. But the pillow is too soft for me. The other comment is that on the soundproof – the rooms are not that particularly soundproofed.

Simple breakfast buffet is served next to the lobby – choices are limited, but the foods are quite tasty. Although they do change the spread from day to day, the choices are not that many. For an additional adult ( each room comes with 2 breakfast ), the breakfast is charged at RM 21 per pax. I think it is quite high given the choices of the spread. Anyway, there are many eateries nearby which served many types of food.

Overall, the hotel is clean, nice and modern with quite a helpful staff. Although it is the only major hotel in this town, the level of services and cleanliness are above average. Rate is RM218 for a room with king size bed and RM238 for a room with 2 queen sized bed. Then there is also a suite which have 4 beds. There are also rooms with interconnecting door, which is suitable for family.

stayed here for a night with friends on job trip. the hotel building itself already looks outstanding as it is located in a remote area like in muadzam shah. room price is average, maybe a bit pricey for certain people. the room was so luxurious, spacious and nice interior design. the flooring is using 2'x2' tiles instead of carpet, very nice indeed. the toilet quite spacious as well, provided with bath tub and shower room separately. despite of the price, this hotel have no pool. the breakfast quite disappointed and not good, only have fried rice/noodle, mushroom soup, fries and sausage. they should improve their breakfast menu, i'm not satisfied with their breakfast. overall, good place to stay except for the breakfast. will consider to come here again.

I am not sure why you would visit Muadzam Shah except on business? But hotel made the city even more pleasant. Large modern room, aircon, discovery channel & fox movies, friendly staff and even small buffet breakfast (during Ramadan). Separate wifi on each floor which wasn't too slow...but Malaysian internet outside of KL seems to struggle to load different sites (Internet Explorer works best though is, in itself, infuriating). Close to town centre. No pool or gym. About hour, hour and a half to closest beach. Good rates...218 RM for delux room (king size bed) in July 2014. Room wasn't particularly sound proof, but it is a small town so not very noisy.

The hotel is clean with large rooms and bathrooms situated in a quiet part of the town. It however has no laundry services, room service and the only meal they serve is breakfast which is the worst I’ve ever had anywhere in Malaysia. If they improve on those points, then you’ll have a better hotel in Muadzam Shah.

Didn't expect to spend a night in Muadzam Shah. On the way back to Kuantan from Segamat one late afternoon on the second day of Eidul Fitri, it getting dark and am tired from traveling and food. So I've decided to stop for the night. Saw the signage for the hotel and stopped to ask for a room, in fact, two rooms. The lobby looked deserted except for a young guy manning the front desk and 'tong'ly designed lobby area. Four of us were checked quickly after the usual preliminaries. The room was surprisingly spacious with a king-sized bed and modern amenities minus the fridge. The room was facing the back lane and I'm too to ask for a better view room, anyway it was already dark. Overall a nice place for a travel break in the middle of nowhere.

First of all, Muadzam Shah is a very-very small town sits in the middle of the jungle, quite literally. Not many hotel or motel here even comparable with Tong Villion. This hotel is totally on the class of its own. As you walk in to the room, makes you feel like you are not in some remote places on earth (no hearts feeling to Muadzam folks ya..haha)..Feels like you are in big city inside a modern and luxury hotel. Room is huge, bed is king-sized, pillows are abit thin but if you are alone, then you'll get to conquer all 3 pillows for yourself. Stack them on top of each other and youre off to a good night sleep. Bathroom is huge with bath tub! Bath tub guys! and a separate shower area! I cant really think of any other hotels with that double-facilities, even the 5-star ones! Toiletries are complete (you'll get dental kit and razor sets on top of the normal sets of soaps and shampoo that you'll get from other hotels here). Then there is iron in each room, coffee, tea making facilities but no minibar tho.. Room interior is modern, clean and brand new, just like other best hotels around. Next to the hotel, there is a grocery store/supermarket and some street food vendor nearby selling local delicacies (fried bananas, noodles etc..you know the drill).. But then again, there's not much to see or do in Muadzam so, I guess this hotel is abit over the top to be built here..Its like, building the Burj al Arab hotel in the middle of the Amazon Jungle.. But still, its a very welcoming facilities for folks who always went for outstationed works here and folks who just want to relax before continuing their journeys to the East Coast and South East of Peninsular Malaysia, which is still quite miles away from here.

"North facing rooms look out on suburbs and vegetation, while south facing rooms I assume look out on buildings and city centre. North facing rooms are over restaurant entrance and entrance to shop next door, which can be noisy during Ramadan if you are in bed by 8/9pm...but isn't bad."
