We spent just over a week at The Lodge and there was always something interesting to see, places to visit and above all the potential for absorbing the peaceful atmosphere and pace of life in this part of Toledo. Visits to the homes of some locals demonstrated how little Mayan life has changed in some ways but how different it...

Our room was a thatched lodge in the garden overlooking the river. Our room was comfortable if a little dark owing to the overhanging thatch, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks on the veranda and watching the bird life in the garden. There is quite a lot to do, two well preserved Mayan sites to view, the little town...

My husband and I stayed 5 nights here after "winning" the all-inclusive stay at a charity auction in our hometown in Florida. I wanted to experience Mayan culture and the native wildlife and this lodge is perfectly situated for that! First off, we loved the thatched roof cabana. Looking up at the peaked thatch ceiling while in bed was so...

Although quite small and peaceful, this lodge provides good accommodation and excellent food. The fireflies in the evening are amazing and the local birds well worth seeing. Steven, their guide is expert in both locating and calling the birds to maximise your chance of seeing them. The staff overall and the owner Rob are very hands on to ensure your...

It was a relief to stay in such nice surroundings after almost a month in Belize. No all-night barking dogs, no dust, no roosters crowing, no loud music..... Just peace and quiet. We enjoyed the welcoming rum punch, our room, the comfortable bed and pillows, and the refrigerator, shower, etc were great too. The outdoor ambience was just as nice....

Our one week stay rated as one of our top holidays. Everything from accommodation, food, hospitality and ambiance were excellent. The birding and fishing tours arranged for us were led by unforgettably knowleable and friendly guides who went out of their way to provide enjoyable experiences. The lodge is located in beautiful well cared for and peaceful setting. Highly recommended!

We were part of a 12 person birding group that stayed at the Inn during the second week in February. Rob the owner and manager was there to greet us, and led us to our cottages. There are many bird species right on the Inn's extensive property, and guide Steven was at our beck and call. The Inn's van and...

We did not stay at the Lodge, although their property is beautiful and their cabins look very inviting. My husband was part of a group who kayaked the river with a guide (Steven) to do some birding. Rob at the Lodge generously offered me use of their pool since I am not a birder. Needless to say, I had a...

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your short time here at the lodge and do hope that you will be able to return and stay for longer in future. We would love to welcome you and Terry back. Glad you also liked the bread that like all our baked goods and pastries is home-made here at the lodge.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. The lodge has beautiful grounds. It was so cool to wake up to the sound of bird calls. The cabin we stayed at was very clean and roomy. We spent many hours relaxing on the porch. The pool was lovely. The staff was so...

We stayed at the lodge while conducting a medical/water safety training class for H2O terra staff in early October. The staff at the lodge is top notch on every level.
