K.gudi is certainly one of the best properties of JLR for it is situated right in the middle of the forest. Bird life around the camp is fantastic. Spotted deer walk through the camp. The nights are filled with alarm calls. There is nothing more a wildlifer could ask for. Food, cleanliness and staff are fantastic as usual.

I have taken 2-3 other jungle safari's before, but this one was best. it was approx 2.5 hrs morning and evening safari and they took you too deeper jungle. the advantage is that this is under the forest department so they have the authority to take you deeper for safari. there were hundreds of birds and we could sight those...

We visited K Gudi Wilderness Camp on 26th March for 2 days from Bangalore. It was a great experience. We started at 7AM and reached K Gudi at 12 Noon. The route was via Mysore road till Maddur. Take the left deviation from Maddur towards Malavalli. Take the left turn at Malavalli towards Kollegal. After Kollegal use your GPS as...

This lodge from JLR is less celebrated beauty (compared to Kabini or Bandipur lodges). Trees everywhere, with excellent weather makes it ideal for a visit any time of the year. They have excellent manager in Mr Prasad and we found naturalist Narayana to be very knowledgeable. Months of Feb and March are very good months to spot birds. We could...

Visiting K Gudi wilderness camp had always been on the wishlist, having seen some awe inspiring photos of the place from a friend of a friend. However, a visit to JLR Bandipur some time last year was such a disappointment that we developed an aversion to the name JLR.But having read reviews of the place (some pegging it as the...

We were in this forest last night. Just 3 and half hours drive from Bengaluru. Less traffic and beautiful landscape. Lot of opportunity to click pictures. Pack food as there isn't any good restaurants on the way. Excellent Service by the Staff. Food is always hot and delicious. Both Log Cabins and Tent houses are good, clean and neat. The...

This place is quite accessible from Bangalore & a wonderful place to forget everything & succumb to wildlife. Quiet, relaxing stay in the jungle where you can spot beautiful sounding birds while seated just outside the cottage. They take you on a 2-3 hour safari but not much to spot - you cant blame the animals as we go there...

As the name suggests, the camp is located in the wilderness of the jungle. Very peaceful and calm with only the sounds of the animals and birds nearby. The jungle safari is done in the morning from 6.30 to 8.30 and in the evening from 3.30 to 6.30. The main attractions were sloth bear, sambar deer, barking deer, mongoose, wild...

This is a wonderful JLR property that is worth going to if you want to sight tigers or just do bird watching. The staff here are very knowledgeable and have a great interest in not only trying to help sight a tiger but also pretty much know every single tree, flower, and bird in the sanctuary. You will truly come...

One of the few resorts which is inside a protected tiger reserve. We stayed in a log hut and given the location and surroundings accommodation and food was fantastic. The resort is Eco friendly and works on solar. Being well inside the jungle you are amongst wild boar, wild dogs , deer and can spot a rare cheetah lounging nearby....
