Rock House hotel is often celebrated for its opulent amenities such as the infinity pool and private beach, with the tranquil and elegantly modern atmosphere adding to its charm. However, despite the praise for clean and beautifully designed rooms with stunning views, some guests mention the value for money is lacking, citing high costs and service inconsistencies.
The remote, picturesque location is perfect for those seeking relaxation, though travelers recommend private transport for the best experience.

Must say what looked a kind of challenging stay at the beginning, turned out to be a memorable 6 nights stay. Beautiful property, a boutique resort with 40+ studios and suites, one of it’s kind in terms of architecture on the island. We stayed at Ridge One Bedroom Suite in second row apart from the sea. Spacious, new and perfect designed with Miele/Bosch kitchen appliances, 2x TV, GE washer and dryer in unit, a bath, inside and outside shower, L’Occitane toiletries, very good quality towels, sheets, soft matresses. Rock House is about 15 minutes drive from the airport, a “joined” taxi for 3 people was 25 USD ( cash). Must thanks to Rashad and Theresa from guest services for their professional approach. Also Bernardo, Daphnee and Junior (and few others) from a restaurant. And Mr.Sherman for very professional approach. Food is on a simple side. The quality was very good , however choices were limited for 6 days , considering regular eating in-house. I understand that the place is a few weeks open and had to find the right menu, especially with it’s Mediterranean resort ambitions. With more choices and more “European” choices might be there. Breakfast served á la carte, full included in the price of stay. Surprised to find a few of our favourite wines on the wine list. Little clean private beach with a service, sunbeds, towels, sunscreen, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkling gear for free rental. Wifi works well (not available on the beach) , walking from the beach to the rooms is via more stairs (just a technical comment), there is still some construction work going on in nearby areas, trying not to disturb the guests much.

This is a brand new hotel that just opened a couple of months ago, so we think they’re still working out the kinks. Overall, it’s a lovely property and good experience, especially for the price point.
First off, the property is in a great location, which is important because cabs can get expensive on the island. So it’s nice that Rock House has good accessibility to local restaurants, beaches and activities. Cab pickup is quick and easy. I’m guessing there’s parking (we didn’t drive this time around). When staying on property, the menu was limited, but tasted good.
Aesthetically, it’s very bright and pretty, with a Mediterranean ambiance. The pool has free cabanas (first come, first serve) and the bar is beautiful with gorgeous views of the beach. Very picturesque.
The rooms were fine: clean, crisp, decently-sized. But I don’t think the architect took personal privacy into consideration. One of our windows directly overlooked another room’s private pool. Our door was right next to our neighbors window. This meant we all had to keep certain curtains shut and lose out on natural light. Feels like they were trying to shove in too many rooms like puzzle pieces.
Also, drink service on the beach was inconsistent and room service was extremely disappointing. I don’t mind Island Time, but sometimes they needed too much followup. In fact, the airport transit that we arranged didn’t show up at all! We understand that mistakes happen, but that’s not what you want on vacation. They could use more training in this area.
Speaking of the beach, it’s pretty tiny, not the greatest spot to lounge. We heard that Rock House plans on expanding and I just don’t see how that beach will accommodate a full hotel. Granted, it’s not a huge deal, because you can hop on over to Grace Bay for some of the prettiest beaches in the world. But we did prefer the pool over the beach at this hotel.
Ultimately, this is a good hotel. Great wine and champagne selection. Pleasant staff. Cool location. Fun vibe that wasn’t pretentious. It’s a nice addition to the Turks and Caicos landscape.

I can't say enough good things about this very special property. It's private and luxurious with a Mediterranean/European vibe. The 1 BR's with pool are amazing, spacious, beautifully designed. The resort pool is incredible with great music at a perfect level for reading, napping, conversation. I even loved the small but very well equipped gym and boutique store. The beach is a nice small beach with water activities avail. and after visiting the very large Grace Bay beach and resorts for activities and dinners, we came to appreciate our private small beach. The resort is a bit far from other restaurants/activities so transportation was costly to and from most places. Recommend a car if you don't mind driving on the opposite side, although hotel will eventually add shuttle or boats to and from popular destinations. The airport though is very close. The staff were all incredible, too many names to mention but I'd like to mention a few here that always took care of us. Batu, resort manager, Marie, Junior Yessinia, Daphne all at the restaurant, Tiffany at the front of the house, Joseph at the pool, and Lordly at the bar. There were so many to thank, such a professional staff. Housekeeping was also very good! Breakfast was included with a great full menu, lunch menu was good (delicious pasta, pizzas, and a few salads) dinner menu is limited, hopefully this will change since the hotel just opened. The Cave Bar is a very special place for cocktails!

The Rock House was simply spectacular! The pool and the views were breathtaking. The resort is small and private so you feel totally relaxed.
The service was fantastic! Sree really went out his way to make us feel welcome! He checked on us numerous times made us feel special. We also appreciated Almando and Frank who were always willing to make sure everything was perfect. Robert and Wesle took care of us at the pool. Fabienne and Dauphnee took great care of us at breakfast. Dinner at Vita was delicious, especially the snapper and rigatoni. Junior was fantastic as our dinner waiter.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom oceanfront room- they was plenty of space, a small kitchen and even a washer and dryer. The we had a completely unobstructed view of the ocean.
The only negative was there was not much beachfront, but we were able to go to their sister resort, Grace Bay Club, and enjoy their beach, ocean and a few water activities.
We would definitely go back to paradise at the Rock House!

The view is spectacular, the prosecco on ice was a nice touch for our arrival, and the one bedroom’s layout is lovely. Beyond this, our two day stay went down hill soon after arrival. Our private infinity pool wasn’t pumping to function as an infinity pool, and the water was low. This was fixed by midday the next day — we were staying for two nights. There are endless plastic bottles, so the “eco” mention in the PR materials is moreso green washing. We hung up our towels to avoid them being change per the card in the bathroom, but they were changed at turndown — again, the “eco” thing. They took the dirty towels, but left the dirty room service items — dishes and covers. The panel at the bottom of the dishwasher randomly fell off, and we discovered it’s held on by velcro. Down at the beach, people were sporadically helped — no towels available after 4ish PM, and don’t bother asking for an umbrella to be moved or set back up. Ordered an aperol spritz, and the server wrote it on his hand; I ended up with apple rings. (They tried to charge us $14 for the apple, but clearly, not what was ordered.) Ordered the albodingas, which is listed on the menu as being served with toasted bread. No accompanying bread, asked the server, and he said it didn’t come with bread. Looked up the menu online to confirm, asked another waiter, and she brought two pieces of cold French bread. Ordered avocado toast at breakfast and was told they were out of avocados, the couple who sat after us got avocado toast. Started drinking coffee out of the Rock House cup at breakfast and discover red lipstick on it, I don’t wear lipstick. Same with the second cup. The service in general was inconsistent unless you are a certain former Today show hostess/the reporter. Oh, when it rained the day we checked out, water leaked into our room under the main door. We brought this to the attention of guest service, all we got was an, “Apologies for any inconvenience faced…” Pretty disingenuous. For the class of resort the Rock House is supposed to be, I would have expected more for the list of “inconveniences”.

There truly is no place like the Rock House. It is completely unique from the stunning location, unparalleled ocean views, sleek modern design, including a Vogue photo shoot worthy infinity pool, to the amazing dining terrace and open air bar. Every sight line is perfect and the rooms are light and airy. These features in themselves create an amazing experience and atmosphere. It is however the attentiveness and accommodating staff that elevated our vacation even further. My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and there was no question or request that the team at the Rock House was not prepared to help us attend to. Berlandie and Francessca in particular were extremely helpful, accommodating and truly attentive, thank you!

First, the grounds are meticulously kept and the views are stunning all around. There are many places to lounge and relax and take in the scenery. The studio hotel room was fully stocked with all necessities during our stay including kitchen and bathroom essentials.
The staff is the highlight of the resort with excellent service and attention. We were constantly checked on and assisted. I enjoyed this small boutique-ish hotel because it is not crowded, the beach is quiet and there are amenities that we were able to enjoy such as kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear. We swam in the infinity pool and reclined on the couches on the pier.
There weren’t many children here, I only remember seeing one. The environment seems family friendly but it was just couples and adults.
The hotel is modern so we had to leave the resort to experience Caribbean foods and flair. I recommend renting a car if you plan to leave the resort because the cost of taxis adds up. Also, the front desk can arrange taxi service; be sure to ask approximate cost as the taxi rates can change from one driver to the next. We found a reasonable driver and contacted him ourselves several times. He was able to accommodate us all except for once.
Our stay here was lovely and I’m looking forward to coming back.

My wife and two sons (3 and 1) spent Thanksgiving week at Rock House in Turks and Caicos and were in love from the moment we stepped on property. The feel of the hotel is more luxury south of France than typical 'Caribbean' and that's a-ok for us.
The staff and service in the hotel is incredible. From our morning greetings at the restaurant for breakfast to our afternoon conversations with the pool and beach staff, by the team we left it felt like the staff was a part of our family! The children were treated like royalty and made themselves at home playing in the beautifully large pool with new friends from around the world, or down at the private beach.
The beach is small, clean, and an incredible place to swim, snorkle, and spot Manta and Stingrays.. The hotel has kayaks and surfboards, and anything else you'd need to make your time at the beach 'productive'.
We stayed in a 1 Bedroom Ridge Villa with a pool and it was the perfect size for our family of four. The outdoor shower, which is a unique feature to the ridge villas specifically, was one of my favorite features of the room. The only area of improvement we noted during the trip was that housekeeping needed constant reminding to either make up the sofa bed in the evening or fold away to allow us to use the living room as a lounge during the day.
The hotel is small and may not have all the bells and whistles of the larger properties on island, but that's the point... it feels like you've landed in a private community of luxury villas instead of a large, boxy hotel. The staff in this hotel really made us feel like family and the attention to detail by the Hotel Manager makes me believe this hotel is only going to continue to improve as it settle into life on the Turks.
We're excited to go back next year for Thanksgiving week again because who needs cold weather and turkey when you could have beach weather and lobster.... very sweet lobster...

We spent our 20th wedding anniversary here at the Rockhouse and had an incredible time. It’s a smaller resort and set away from the main grace bay drag. So it was quiet and serene. The resort is carved out of the cliffs and so our suite gave us an incredible view of the ocean. We splurged for a private plunge pool and it was worth every penny. The one bedroom suite had a nice living area with a full sized fridge. The bathroom was luxurious with an indoor and outdoor shower and large soaking tub.
The resort had a chill Mediterranean vibe with french music gently playing throughout the resort. The pool and private beach were never crowded and offered stunning views of the water and rock formations along the shore.
The drinks were tasty and the food at the restaurant great, but it was also just a short cab ride to get to other restaurants around the island.
To a person, the staff was friendly and helpful (although sometimes the drinks took a while but hey — you’re on island time!!) and they didnt nickle and dime you. The fridge was stocked with water bottles that you didn’t pay for and the drinks and meals were reasonably priced.
This place was stunning. We hope to be back!

We absolutely love The Rock House! Chef Boon is fantastic and his culinary creations are delectable. (Any chance I can get the pumpkin risotto recipe? LOL. But seriously, maybe?) The hotel itself is clean, new and has a European/Greek feel. I am an early riser and I was able to witness all the staff cleaning quietly at 6am. Thank you Batu for the pool playlist! We love it and please do not remove from Spotify.. The view was exceptional and the infinity pool is to die for. Thank you Davidson and Junior for the afternoon treats and drinks by the pool. Jordan and Tiffany in the office are very pleasant and helpful. A shout out to all the wait staff. Keshwanna, Gerald, Fabienne and Marie took care of us for breakfast and dinner. Thank you to the other kitchen staff who worked tirelessly all day. Honestly, we didn't really feel the need to eat anywhere else. Someone complained on Trip Advisor about the Eggs Benedict. Whatever. So it wasn't great. That's any easy fix. Everything else was superb. I am a NYC native and the pizza came very close to what I've eaten in Sorrento. I was pretty shocked that Chef Boon nailed the crust perfectly, even in that humidity. Crispy but soft. Held out straight and didn't flop. When I return, I will get a room with a private infinity pool. Because how fun is that? The beach is very pretty as well and they have complimentary equipment to snorkel, paddle board and kayak. Loved the gym. Has 2 pelotons and treadmills, weights etc. Overall, I highly recommend The Rock House especially if you are there for a quiet relaxing stay.

The going rate that we experienced was $15 per person, per ride, There were times that we shared a van ride and that was slightly cheaper.
Dearest Camille,
Although we would be delighted to welcome you as our guest at Rock House, it's important to note that our property features a hilly and rocky terrain reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast.
Instead, I would recommend considering West Bay Club. West Bay Club is our intimate boutique property which offers a serene and relaxing atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for a family vacation or a peaceful getaway for couples and of course someone traveling with a handy dandy scooter :). The best part is you are just a stroll away from the award winning Grace Bay Beach!
I hope that helps! Reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns. We look forward to welcoming you to Grace Bay Resorts in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands.
Greetings,
Thank you so much for your question, Guests staying at other resorts are welcome to dine at Grace Bay Club however pool and beach amenities are available to registered guests and residents of Grace Bay Club only.
Dear Peter, The pools are temperature controlled for a refreshing dip. Should a guest prefer a warmer swimming experience we can certainly adjust the temperature as needed.
No you cannot walk far out as the property sits on a reef. The beach area is small (but nice!) and you can only walk a few yards before you're on top of the reef.
