I'm not entirely sure why you would run a hotel if doing so clearly causes you such unhappiness. They were grumpy we arrived in the afternoon and not morning (have no idea why they assumed an arrival time). Could I have a cappuccino - no. Could they help me with directions to the best way to Spa - no. Could...

We stayed whilst at the Belgian Grand Prix. If you're driving to Spa, it's a great place to stay. Very welcoming family and the food was gorgeous. It needs a little bit of a makeover but not too much as it would take away from its uniqueness. It was very clean but could do with an upgrade in pillows and...

We stayed two nights at Chateau Bleu, having been unable to find accommodation closer to Liege. However, it turned out to be a very pretty location and it didn't take long to get to and from Liege once we found a convenient route. The hotel was built as a chateau at the end of the 18th century but has been...

If you are coming here you should try the basement spa experience - a wonderful romantic idea. These are the highlights and if you are coming - these are...

Nowhere is 15 kilometers under Liège, in Trooz, where the family-run Château Bleu offers the charms of an 19th century castle with sufficient modern comfort. Be sure not to miss dinner at night where you might have delicious cakes baked by the owner's son for dessert ! Château Bleu is the starting point for marvellous road trips in an old-timer...

We stayed in Trooz to be close to Liege for the Tour de France. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful with local transport and driving us to the train station with our luggage. The food was wonderful too - be sure to have a dinner at the restaurant.
