We researched Slaley Hall before booking a two night deal through the travel website Travelzoo. The deal included two nights, breakfast, and dinner and a bottle of wine in the room. Access to the spa was included when booking the room too. It was an incredible deal, and we were in desperate need of a relaxing break. We drove from...

Booked this hotel late and got a cancellation spa treatment as it was fully booked. Fantastic place, lovely rooms, powerful shower, great pool, relaxing spa. Had dinner at the Dukes Grill which was 5* food and wine and even better service. Our waiter, Souza, was excellent! Can't wait to book again.

Enjoyed the afternoon tea in a beautiful room. It wasn't the best afternoon tea I have ever had, but it was nice. The plates were pre-loaded so the sandwiches and cakes all arrived together, it did give the impression of mass catering. There was plenty of choice of teas or coffees and you never felt rushed. Quite often after an...

I go 2/3 times a year to Slaley and this time it didn't feel the same. I was with someone with walking difficulties and no thought went In to this when receiving service here. No real warm welcome and with an entrance like this it's what you expect from a 4star. Reception girl was nice on entering. No notes on...

My boyfriend booked a winter break deal as a surprise for my birthday, Saturday to Monday. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Not 100, not 500 but 1000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest play home to this magnificent, elegant Edwardian mansion. That the interiors are almost as dramatic as the exterior says it all. This is very old world grandeur with a modern twist. Bask in the warmth of the reception you receive on arrival, dine at Hadrian's Brasserie, or at the Duke's Grill. Indulge with a Vichy water spa treatment or just flop in the fantastic indoor pool. The great outdoors doesn’t get much greater. After a bracing country walk in the wilds, or round on our championship golf course, retire to the Claret Jug and the 19th Bar for a stiff brandy. Surely you deserve it ? ... more   less
