My family and I truly enjoyed staying at this ecohotel. We chose to stay in the large suite because it had its own bathroom. Though, the outside bathroom was very clean. Jorge and Daniel were very nice and helpful. We liked the fact that there is an outside open-air kitchen where the guest get to cook their own meals if...

Oh, I wish I were there right now! My stay at the Yucatan Mayan Retreat was easily the best part of my trip. I felt so comfortable and happy there. After driving from Cancun, and traveling more than 9 hours by plane, I was tired, dirty, and more than a little cranky. However, all of that changed as soon as...

Great place to get some rest and be in contact with nature. I slept in a camping tent, surrounded by nature. Great place to get some peace of mind. Friendly Staff and a very nice outdoor bathroom. Just a few kilometers from the Mayan Ruins of Chichen·Itza and Yaxunah, wright next to the wonderful Cenote, Sinkhole, of Yokdzonot. In a...

We stayed here for 2 nights - we are always on the lookout for "alternate" accomdodations and this place didn't disappoint - it is exactly as shown on the website and was spotlessly clean and tidy, both inside and out. We stayed in the Mayan Suite, so it was really like deluxe camping. The retreat is on a hill at...

i wanted to stay here because it's in yokdzonot. i'm just kidding. but it sure is fun trying to pronounce it. the yucatan mayan retreat is not your normal lodging place. i would say it's more of a camp ground that offers a couple "suites" for the non-camping types. i stayed here back in freezing december. got into cancun and...

rates this place has no basis, or by facilities or by location. offer an encounter with nature, and what they have is just a small plot with two rooms, but in reality are in an environment inhabited by semi-urban workers.

It was a great experience spending a night out there, and our host, Daniel, was nice and helpful. The place is a small compound located down a little village road. We stayed in the Mayan Deluxe House, which was comfortable and plenty of space for two people. Outside, there is a little pool, with lounging chairs and a hammock. Lying...

We went to the Yucatan Mayan Retrest for my husbands birthday. We planned to visit Chichen Itza. We own a casa in Chelem, Yucatan and we needed to get away from all the renovations. What a great choice. Jorge and Erica were awesome hosts and I really loved their dogs Luc and Leah. I wasn't quite ready to camp so...

I stayed here while in town to see Chichen Itza. it's a cute place, smaller than it looked from the pictures, but beautiful and peaceful. I stayed in a tent and thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a symphony of birds. The bathroom was my favorite - no ceiling, and several trees growing inside. You can walk or rent a bike...

We stayed at the Yucatan Mayan retreat in March, 2010 while visiting Chichen Itza, and had a fantastic experience. We stayed in the Mayan House, which had a double bed and a double futon, fridge, coffee maker and A/C. The room was clean and very comfortable. Jorge, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful with sightseeing recommendations. It's about a...
