Quiet location, very close to the Kingston shops and to the bus station going to the city centre; friendly, helpful staff; clean rooms and shared facilities. All rooms have a fan and a heater, although the heater is a bit noisy and I had to switch it off before going to sleep (I am a light sleeper and I was...

Great value, comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff, super clean rooms/facilities, excellent location. Not one bad thing to say. Ideal location if you are visiting Canberra without a car. Taxi fare from airport $28, takes about 15 mins. Over 20 cute cafes and eateries - one of which was the site of an ABC Kitchen Cabinet episode filmed during my stay -...

We visited Canberra for the weekend to visit the spring flower festival. Considering that this was a busy weekend, and that Victor Lodge is situated in a very convenient location, we think we got a very good deal. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. I did feel the rooms were slightly smaller than average, but didn't mind as we planned...

Victor Lodge is a Bed and Breakfast or an upmarket backpackers' hostel. It is good value for money, clean and comfortable with helpful staff. They provide free Wifi and directions to local eating places. Breakfast is plentiful with stewed fruit, yogurt, a variety of breads and spreads, cereals and teas/coffee.

We paid $116 for a room with double bed including continental breakfast for two. Shared bathroom and toilets were very clean (separate male and female facilities). Bed and linen also very clean. Room was basic with a small table and washbasin.Small wall heater but it kept the room warm through the freezing canberra night. Free wifi was a bonus. Kingston...

I failed to read the blurb about Victor Lodge on booking, so my bad for not noticing that it was old Halls of Residence style accomm glossed up to look more renovated than it actually is. Heaters only in winter. September is still freezing in Canberra, so no heater in spring. No TV or kettle in the room. Shared shower...

Things I liked: It was cheap. $95 for a good comfortable Queen Sized Bed. The bed linen was fresh clean and good quality. The towels were large, thirsty and and like the linen great quality. The internet was slow but adequate and free. Breakfast was provided but since it wasn't available until 0730 and I had to be away by...

We stayed here last weekend and did not have the greatest experience. The hospitality is wonderful and the breakfast is nice - just be aware it is not for light sleepers! The walls are paper thin and you will be up all night listening to every cough and creak. There was a man who was very ill and I heard...

Clean, comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff. Good location for me to the sites I wanted to see in Canberra. Handy to public transport and the local shopping centre. Bikes for hire from Victor Lodge an added bonus.
