This hostel is very well located, close to the beach. The parking lot is very small so most of the guests have to leave their cars on the street what can be a problem depending on the time. The rooms are a bit old and not very well mantained, what is different from most of the YHA we have stayed...

I stayed one night in this YHA. My first impression: The place is quite big! ..for a backpacker. The staff was very friendly, 4 bed room was clean, and nice roommates. Showers and toilets were surprisingly clean for the amount of partypeople. My friend was less lucky, he caught a room with 5 bong smoking, drugged up guys that kept...

On check in we were put in a room right next to the kitchen, laundry and pool. The noise level was unbearable. The bathroom/shower was a room with no separation between sink, shower and toilet. No where to put anything except on the floor. The kitchen was filthy. The guests, when we were there, did not clean up after themselves...

We stayed 2 nights in a private room with a private bathroom. The shower was great and the room was comfortable. The kitchen facilities are big and spacious and the outside social area is nice. There's a swimming pool, but it was raining when we were there.

Yha coffs harbour is just an average hostel. If you want a clean hostel close to the beach for a few nights then this fits the brief. Positives: clean , free shuttle to and from bus stop, facilities (swimming pool, kitchen, wi fi , tv room) Negatives: lacking in atmosphere. Lots of long termers who are friendly enough but already...

I stayed here with friends whilst on a diving road trip. We got a private room with ensuite and found this hostel very good, clean with friendly staff. I would recommend YHA Coffs as a cheaper option for accommodation. There is parking at the rear of the hostel with closed circuit TV. It is nice and close to a selection...

I stayed here for 3 nights. The female dorm room was as you expect with bunk beds but they also had lockers and coat hooks too. The bathrooms and showers were clean. There was space for you to place your dry clothes and change once out of the shower cubicle and still have privacy. The hostel has a separate TV...

Good hostel, very functional with a clean kitchen and nice common areas. We visited in winter and it was very quiet, almost eerily so, there didn't seem to be anything social organised by the hostel. It's easy to walk into town and there's a good car park at the back. The bed covers could do with updating

Suited our needs perfectly, even had a TV and ensuite in our double room. Amenities are nearby, this place is very well located right down by the beach, with restaurants nearby. Also supermarket, bottle-o and pharmacy, ec. Kitchen was clean, wifi cost money but I heard they were transitioning to making it free for guests after the next month so...

I know I'm a little older than 'regular' backpackers, but I hate sitting in motel rooms, staring at myself in the mirror, when I travel by myself. I know the beds are going to be too short (at 6 ft 1 in, a double bed just isn't going to cut it) I hate the inherent snootiness with B&Bs. And I...
