I thought that the rooms would be cleaned daily yet after two days of no room cleaning I had to ask housekeeping. Basic toiletries were not replenished. It's very inconvenient that I had to go downstairs to purchase minibar. Verandah was a ledge about half a meter wide. Room was quiet enough considering it was on George St. Staff were...

The bedding was good, sheets clean. The bathroom was mouldy and smelly. The fridge hummed all night so i couldnt sleep, it was an old fridge though. The decor was old and needed painting both inside rooms and in out in corridors. It was depressing and i felt like it eas poor value for money

The location is simply wonderful, with Market City, Chinatown and Capitol Theatre just across the street, you'll have no trouble finding these places. Market City is a really huge building with large labels so people will definitely be able to locate the place. There is also a shortcut through Chinatown that leads to Darling Harbour, so those who have booked...

Convenient for getting around Sydney. Situated in Chinatown, a short walk from Darling Harbour and about a 30 minute walk from Circular Quay. Central station is nearby but is quite big and can be confusing. We chose to use Town Hall or Museum train stations to get around which were the same distance away. Hundreds of places to eat and...

This is a very busy hotel with high guest flow. The room is spacious, and the second toilet/bathroom is an added bonus. Because the room came with a kitchen/kitchenette, i had expected to be able to cook in the room. However, there was a notice in the room advising against it, which i thought defeated the purpose. So, although the...

I stayed here for 3 nights in November, the hotel is in a really great location and the rooms have great facilities and are of a really good size. Very central for both Town Hall and Central Station along with access to the light rail tram. One issue I had with the room was the amount of noise that came...

Air-conditioning was noisy and could not cool the room. Room and furniture was rundown except for the bed. The curtains did not block the sun so we were up at 5:30am. Bathroom was reasonably sized but generally run down.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
