Small hotel, suitable for short term. But no elevator. But friendly staff, clean rooms and comfy beds. It's not much, but it's worth the price. Central to everything, 2 min walk to Wynyard train station.

The rooms are compact and basic, but very good value for money. It was a little hard to find a power point for the kettle in the room. There is no breakfast available , but there is good kitchen facilities. The stairs into the hotel are steep. Very basic mini bar.

We stayed here for three nights, and it was as expected for the price. We were looking for something affordable and close to the city and this ticked those boxes! Being in the city, there was a lot of noise outside in the mornings so if you like a lie in I wouldn't recommend staying in a room overlooking the...

This is very deceiving. It suggests it's a hotel, its actually a hostel. Share lounge, share kitchen. Luckily we got our own bathroom. However, be warned of you leave your bathroom door open whilst showering and set the smoke alarm off, you will be up for a hefty fine! The room was very dated and the floor had dark brown...

On Saturday 20 August 2016, I stayed at this hotel in room 206. Worst hotel ever. The smell in the room was disgusting, as was the condition of the carpet. After checking under the bed to try to determine where the smell was coming from, I discovered rubbish. I couldn't be moved to another room as the receptionist said they...

Fine travelers stop. If you take a cheaper room be ready for street noise early morning street cleaning machine early deliveries etc great pub across the street central enough long stairway to reception if you not fit it's a battle to get your bags up

Right in the heart of the CBD with easy access to Wynyard Station. The clean and well equiped room was a little tight but fine for a short stay. No lift so I recommend you request a low floor if you have trouble with stairs.

I have to admit that I was a bit nervous about staying here as it was so cheap compared to the other hotels (booking.com special of A$119 per night). I was travelling to Sydney for a specialist appointment for my young daughter, so we really only needed a bed to sleep in. I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely not for the...

We stayed there for three days at a weekend. The location is fabulous, surronded with everything around, especially bars. It is just in the heart of CBD. The hotel was so clean with good space for rooms. however, t doesn't have lift and we were in the fourth floor, since all rooms are in the third and fourth floor. But,...

Tucked away in the Sydney CBD on Hunter street. The room does not have the feel of a 5 star hotel but it's got everything to satisfy even the fussiest traveller. The rates are impressive and the location is excellent. Wynyard station is a stone's throw away and the Hunter food court is just nearby. Shopping is very by too....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
