My first dealings with the Frisco hotel were poor from the get go. I booked for us to stay from Xmas eve until 31st December. New Year's Eve was showing as full so we figured we would stay with family that night and then made another booking with the Frisco from 1st to the 4th January. I received an email...

This is an inviting place to walk into and get a very good traditional pub meal at very reasonable prices. Lots of locals inside is always a good sign. The Frisco is a very comfortable pub, decked out in keeping with its naval environment and very unpretentious. Highly recommended.

We decided to try Frisco after a re-vamp to the pub and dining area and we weren't disappointed. The staff were really quite friendly, the food was delicious and the beer was nice and cold. We ate upstairs next to the balcony and ordered some fish taco's which were super fresh and tasty and then we had the panko crumb...

Firstly we arrived at 11am, but it was completely closed, nobody around so we called the out of hours number to be told they won't open until 12, even though the opening hours say 11am. We finally checked in at 2pm, girl was quick to take payment but didn't tell us where anything was in the hotel just showed us...

Early dinner with granddaughter. New owners-revamped. Service much quicker. From order to eating-6 minutes. Panko schitzel nice and moist. Chips were actually wedges. They were good. Gravy awful. Very sweet. Chef's salad was a bit odd. They said feta, beetroot, pumpkin and almond. The almond was a broken up sesame biscuit. Still tasted OK. A bit pricey. $30. Maybe add...

I arrived to a hotel that is totally shut. I had to call someone to come and let me in, waiting 15 minutes on the street for them. There is no manager on site. I would never have booked had I been told it was shut. Also, when the pub is open, there appears to be nothing preventing pub patrons...

When we arrived the sign on the door said they opened at 11 so we waited and waited and at 11.30 we called the after hours number, Adam was lovely and explained as it was New Year's Day the pub wasn't open but he would be there soon to check us in as we were going to Field Day that...

Congratulations to the new owners for a much-needed restoration in keeping with Frisco's naval heritage. I disagree with an earlier review and can see a lot of thought was put into the use of space and the broad and 'tricky' demographic to maintain the appeal and affordability for the loyal locals as well as broadening the appeal to a more...

Been going here for years, previously a hidden gem of the area. downstairs bar still seems a fairly mixed and unpretentious and inviting, pool tables inside and great tables and chairs on the footpath, though the decor inside has started to take a turn for the worst, twee shabby chic pseudo-sailor look has been installed over the more authentic sailor...

Great Aussie pub in the heart of Woolloomooloo, great location - walking distance to the Botanical Gardens, Art Gallery and the CBD. Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food with specials on different days of the week and happy hours. There are rooms upstairs, which are basic but adequate and great value for money. Highly recommend!
