I was able to get a hotel room within a week if my last minute travels. It was a short walk to Opera House, Circular Quay, Hyde Park & Harbour Bridge. There was lots of shopping, food & drink or groceries.

Location was great but did not enjoy the hotel. Rooms were tiny ,my boyfriend who is 2 metres tall could almost touch both walls at the same time.Bed was small and it was either the loud sounds from the street or the very noisy aircon that kept us up.Breakfast was toast and cereal only, not very nutritious.Staff was nice though and...

On a budget, my family of four stayed in a room with four singles and shared the common bathroom. The room was a little worn but still clean and comfortable. The toilets and bath areas were reasonably clean too. The reception area was cool and a nice place to relax while repacking our bags for a night flight—they let us...

The location was great and we enjoyed our time here. The hotel is in the middle of a revamp so there was not a full breakfast menu available but the staff tried hard to put on what they could. The room was comfortable.

I'm above satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The staff are SUPER friendly and VERY service minded. I went up to Gold Coast a couple of days, and they let some of my baggage stay in the storage room the entire time (which is something they usually not do). I also got a room with private bathroom for the...

Room was neat. Sliding door to patio did not close or lock. Air con did not work very well. Not plates or cutlery at breakfast. It served the purpose we were after. A cheap room for an overnight stay in CBD.

The Y is undergoing a facelift, which befits a hotel her age - though the name change, from the venerable Y, seems pointless and more than a little confusing. That said, things are on the up and up here. Better service, better attitude, better breakfast (great muesli) but sadly not better coffee - you cant have everything. My room was...

Make sure the price you are to pay is the same as what you booked online as they make their own fees when you arrive. Shared bathrooms are messy at certain times. Breakfast is basic at the moment due to renovations which have gone over the time frame originally noted online.

Thank you for your review. Sorry for any complications with the online booking. Unfortunately we've had a slight delay in our completion of renovations but we will be completed shortly and we will open with a brand new licensed cafe.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
