Stayed here for 5 nights while sight seeing in Sydney. It's in a great location in The Docks area. Plenty of places to eat close by, access to Circular Quay for any ferries you want to catch. Nice views from the roof also, worth taking a quick trip up there. Breakfast as good, everything you would expect to have. Staff...

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to departing for a New Zealand cruise. It is right across the street and up the stairs from the Circular Quay cruise ship terminal which makes it ridiculously convenient. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes in walking distance as well as craft fairs and farmers markets on the weekends. The staff is...

We had emailed ahead as we had an overnight flight from U.K. to ask for an early check in. Unfortunately this was not possible but to be told we would have to wait till 3pm when so tired was distressing. After speaking to manager we did get a room at 11am. The hotel is well placed in the rocks, and...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
