On a recent visit to Sydney I indulged and spent money on accommodation at the Hilton. One of the nicest hotel breakfast I have had in a while and when we got back to the hotel after being out for dinner they were just closing.I asked them if we...

The Hilton isn't exactly your cheapest option...but then Hotels in Sydney CBD aren't. It was exacerbated by the fact we went there over the New Year to celebrate NYE in Sydney. The Hilton staff were very efficient and courteous even though the Hotel was fully booked and the queue at the reception never seemed to die ...they did their jobs....

The Hilton in Sydney is ideally located in the heart of the beautiful City of Sydney. You can enter the Hilton from either George Street or Pitt Street. That said the pedestrian traffic at select times can be dense. The proximity of the Hilton to all that downtown Sydney has to offer including the Queen Victoria Building, makes the Hilton...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
