Great Hotel with excellent ammenities and fantastic staff. Located in Market St Sydney above the Westfield/Meyer complex and opposite the State Theatre so within walking distance of pretty much everything Sydney has to offer.

Staying at the Swissotel was a joy. The decor was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable you didn't want to get out. The bathroom was stunning. I would certainly recommend this hotel in Sydney, Australia

An absolutely classic motel in the heart of the Sydney CBD it was the most pleasant experience. The staff were sensational and always helpful throughout our time there. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the management surprised us with a bottle of champagne which was left in our room in an ice bucket a swell

From the airport, we took Airport Link (under AUS$20) to the St. James Station, and easily rolled out luggage a couple blocks to the Swissotel. The lobby is on the 8th floor, requiring a lift ride from ground floor to 8, and a short stroll through the lobby to the hotel lifts that go up from there (to about the... More

I booked a One Bedroom Suite on inspection found it next to the lifts asked for it to be changed because of the noise, the staff downgraded us to a King Room (one staff said it was better room) but the hotel insisted on still charged us for the Suite very disappointing GeoffR

I recently went to Australia on vacation and went in and out of the city, so I had the opportunity to stay at several different hotels and this one was great! The hotel is located centrally, about a 20 minute walk from the opera house, which was just fine by me. The prices were on par with most of the... More

It was just an overnight stay for me in November and first time for me in a Swissotel Hotel. Location is central to the main shopping area in Sydney so I think it is great for tourist. The hotel tick all the boxes for me as a 5 stars hotel (e.g. decent size room, gym, ironing facility, in room slippers,... More

Centrally located hotel - near to shopping and eating spots. Above average, though you can see that the hotel has aged. Hotel food was average at best - there is 5 dollar charge for in room dining. Staff were courteous and helpful. We would come back for the right price.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
